Today, the Knights of Columbus at St John Cardinal Fisher #13363 join our brothers and sisters in the fire service to celebrate our patron, St. Florian.

To my fellow firefighters: Thank you for your unwavering commitment, your late-night sacrifices, and your dedication to keeping our community safe. We answer the call together, and today we ask for St. Florian’s continued protection over every station and every shift.May we always have the courage of the saints and the strength to serve.

Today, the Knights of Columbus Council 13363 was proud to replace the wooden cross on the northeast side of our parish, Catholic Church of Saint Mary the Virgin.

Through the laborious efforts of one of our brothers, a new cross was crafted to house the original corpus. He was assisted by three fellow Knights, including our Grand Knight, in the removal of the old cross and the installation of the new one.

We are honored to serve our community and share the wondrous light of Christ with the world. To quote Saint Paul: "For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." (1 Corinthians 2:2)

Today’s Saint is the evangelist St Mark.

If you happen to have NEVER read the Holy Gospels, I recommend St Mark’s. It is the faster pace perspective and admittedly, I have a personal fondness of it over the others.

St. Anselm usually refers to Anselm of Canterbury (c. 1033–1109), a towering medieval figure known as the "Father of Scholasticism". He was an Italian Benedictine monk who served as the Archbishop of Canterbury and is celebrated as a Doctor of the Church for his philosophical and theological brilliance.
