We are currently experiencing air conditioning issues in the Sanctuary. We will forge on, as our forebears would have wanted! We encourage you to dress coolly and bring a fan. Seriously, short-sleeved shirts, shorts, and sandals are OK.

If you are especially susceptible to the heat, please consider worshiping from home. Our services will be available on YouTube and Facebook, where the climate control is generally much more reliable.

Whether you join us in the Sanctuary or online, we look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday.

During children’s time, we used fans and a leaf blower to talk about the Holy Spirit. We cannot always see the Spirit, but we can see the Spirit’s movement: stirring us, sending us, comforting us, and reminding us that God is with us.

And then, because Pentecost should never be boring, we ended with a confetti cannon and red confetti flying into the sanctuary.

The Holy Spirit showed up with wind, joy, laughter, and just enough cleanup to remind us that grace is sometimes gloriously messy.

Come, Holy Spirit! 🔥

This Sunday is the Day of Pentecost: the Spirit-filled gathering of the church, the healing of Babel, and the moment when the breath of Jesus becomes the speech of the church.

We’ll celebrate by wearing red and proclaiming that the Holy Spirit did not finally show up late to the party. The Spirit has been at work since creation, hovering over the waters, breathing life into dust, speaking through the prophets, and now dwelling in the church because the risen Christ keeps his promise.

Jesus is not merely beside us. He is in us.
