Matthew 26 mentions a woman who had so much love for Jesus and actually understood who He is that she broke open her alabaster box, which holds the very best and most precious oil, and poured it on His head. In that moment she gave her best to the One that deserves her best because she understood the amount of love that He has for her.
As we approach Valentines Day, we will see couples giving each other their best gifts, but how many of us will give Jesus the love that He deserves? Will we go another year not giving the One who deserves our best...the best? It's time for us to give God our alabaster box.

Psalm 34:8 says, "O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him," and we've done that. We've seen the blessings that have come from tasting and seeing that He is good. But how many of us have actually changed when we tasted and saw that He is good? How many of us didn't change and went back to doing what we were comfortable with doing? There are times when we read the Bible and we either misinterpret or use it to our own benefit, but when you look at this scripture with a different perspective David isn't just saying that God will be there for you in your time of need. He is saying that every time you taste and see that He is good something should change, not just in your environment or situation, but inside of you as well, and we wonder why we keep going through the same thing over and over again. God's plan for our lives did not include us going in cycles. God doesn't just deal with the situation, He deals with the root, but that's only if you let Him. What is it going to take for us to decide that we don't want things to just be fixed? What is it going to take for us to say we want to see change?

This is the season of understanding because healing comes with understanding. Healing comes with the understanding that even though it may not make sense right now, God has given you a message that those around you will only get access to through you. Understanding comes with an open mind, open ears, and an open heart. Understanding also comes with sympathy and a forgiving spirit. Jesus himself even said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." Yes, wisdom is needed, but wisdom alone is not enough when it comes to being the example and the light God has called you to be. You have to have an understanding spirit in order for people (especially the youth) to listen to you and come to you in their time of need. An understanding spirit is necessary in order for people to get the deliverance they need. So how willing are you to get out of your feelings and move in understanding?

The month of July is the month of trust, but in order to trust, our focus has to be readjusted.
Some of us are saying that we trust the God that we serve, but are still operating in doubt, worry, and frustration because we have trust issues.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 "Blessed is the man that trust in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding."
Are you planted and rooted?
Yes, it's uncomfortable, but it's a part of growth.
It's time for us to get to a place that no matter what we see, think, hear, or experience, we will not be moved because we know that no matter how it looks right now "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)

Even though the month of June will be gone before we know it, I believe that this month is the month of strength.
I believe that those of you that need a second wind will have an experience with the Lord who is your rock and your strength that will turn into a breakthrough, a testimony, and the ability to keep going.
Philippians 4:6 says, "Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand," which means the God we serve is readily accessible when you need Him.
So when you do what David did and call on the name of the Lord who is worthy to be praised with the understanding that He is your strength and your rock, He has to respond.
Jesus is solid, He has the ability to withstand pressure, He cannot be moved, He cannot fail, and with Him you cannot fail. All you have to do is call on Him.
