We are so thankful to have been a part of the Advocates story! ❤️
Yesterday we said goodbye to a place that holds so many special memories. 💙 In the fall of 2003, The Special Connexion was established to provide socialization, and mentally and physically challenging activities for the adults we serve. Through the generosity of Epworth United Methodist Church, ASP was given permission to use a building on the church property, creating a welcoming home for our very first Connexion program.
Over the past 23 years, countless friendships have been formed, skills have been developed, laughter has been shared, and lives have been enriched within these walls. We are incredibly grateful to Epworth UMC for opening their doors and supporting our mission for more than two decades.
As Epworth UMC closes their doors, we are excited to begin a new chapter at Trinity UMC - Arlington, TX. While our location is changing, the spirit of Special Connexion 1 and the community we've built together will continue to thrive.
Thank you, Epworth UMC, for being the foundation of something truly special. Here's to the memories we've made and the adventures still to come! ❤️
