Southminster’s Mission Team has been involved with an organization called Faithfully Nurturing Children [FNC} This Christian organization has a school located in Kampala, Uganda in an area surrounded by slums and extreme poverty. For almost three years we have sponsored a young student named Leticia Nabaggala who is now in second grade. Our support has helped Leticia spiritually, emotionally, physically, educationally and financially. She struggles in school but she is a determined student who is making gradual progress. With our monetary donations and our prayers, we have faith that Leticia will overcome the many obstacles that she faces and will continue to learn and excel. Please pray for Leticia and the FNC organization.

This is the FINAL WEEKEND for our P4P collection. Packing of the boxes will be done at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit in Elk Grove Village on June 16, so that we can get the packages to the troops by the 4th of July. The collection will end on June 7. Also, we would like to invite the children or anyone else to include notes of thanks to the troops for the work that they do. Only normal size items please as the sample size items do not pack well and no aerosols. You may leave the donations in the brown bin outside the church or by the church elevator and PLEASE mark it P4P. If each person can donate one or two items, it would be greatly appreciated. Let's make this 250th anniversary of our country special for our troops and let them know that they are appreciated. Thank you, the Mission Team.
