✨ Celebrating our Confirmands! ✨
Last Sunday, June 7th, was an incredibly special day at St. John UCC as we celebrated Confirmation Sunday! We are so proud of our young people who stood before our church family to affirm their faith and take this beautiful next step in their spiritual journeys. 🕊️

❤️During the service, we were reminded of a powerful truth: you can never truly be a Christian alone. We are baptized into community, we affirm our faith in community, and it is in community that we live out our faith together. Jesus wasn't just about giving us a lot of information—He was about showing us a lot of love, and doing it together through baptism, communion, fellowship, and welcome.

As our confirmands navigate wherever life takes them next, we pray they always seek out and lean on a community of faith that supports them and helps them live love out loud.

Please join us in praying for our confirmands as they continue to love God with all their heart, mind, and strength, and love their neighbors as themselves!

🌿 Join Us for Creation Care Camp 2026! 🌊
Calling all families, nature lovers, and "Water Protectors"! We are thrilled to invite you to Creation Care Camp, hosted by Tower Hill Camp & Conference Center from August 3 – 6, 2026.

Under the guidance of Director Rev. Dr. David Russell, this isn't just a camp for kids—it’s a multi-generational retreat! Whether you are a parent, grandparent, auntie, uncle, or caregiver, we want you to join the children in your life to immerse yourselves in the beauty of God’s world.

What to Expect:
This year, we are focusing our hearts on water, specifically the magnificent Lake Michigan and its watershed. We’ll learn how to serve as "Land Defenders" and "Water Protectors," turning our faith into action for the planet.

Of course, it wouldn't be summer camp without the fun! * 🏖️ Playing and swimming at the lake shore

✨ Star-gazing and forest exploring
🔥 Evening bonfires and (everyone's favorite) S'mores!
