What a special day at Meek Baptist Church!

We were honored to host the Arley Public Library’s Lunch & Learn, featuring the one and only James Spann! James shared incredible wisdom about weather safety and preparedness, but perhaps even more meaningful was the obvious love and care behind his message for the people of Alabama. We are so thankful he took the time to be with us and help equip our community to stay safe.

And we loved the theme of the day: “Feeding the Mind.”

At Meek Baptist, we believe in feeding the mind and the spirit. We value education, learning, and opportunities to grow, and we believe the church should be a place where our community can gather, learn, connect, and be served in all kinds of ways.

That’s one of the things we love about our church building: it belongs to the community for God’s glory. Whether it’s worship, Bible study, a community event, a graduation, a meeting, a meal, or a Lunch & Learn, we are grateful for every opportunity to open our doors and serve the people around us. ❤️

A huge thank you to Cakes by Lindsey for creating this amazing James Spann and weather-themed cake! 🎂🌪️ It was almost too good to eat!

🎓 Congratulations to the Winston County Rescue Squad EMT Graduates!

It was a privilege for Meek Baptist Church to host the EMT Graduation & Reception for the Winston County Rescue Squad Training Facility!

We are grateful for the dedication and sacrifice of these men and women who have answered the call to serve their community. We’re especially proud to celebrate our own MBC member, Leslie Aaron, who was among this graduating class! 👏❤️

Congratulations to all the EMT graduates! We are thankful for the important work you do to care for and protect the people of Winston County. We pray God will continue to give you wisdom, strength, courage, and compassion as you serve others. ❤️🚑
