Last week, we had a very important guest visiting St. Mark, Fr. Augustine Theravath from Kerala, India. It was a beautiful reunion filled with gratitude and God’s providence.

Forty-six years ago, a young 14-year-old altar server served alongside Fr. Augustine Theravath, a priest who would become a profound instrument of God’s grace and an inspiration in his life.

After 26 years apart, Fr. George and Fr. Augustine —who recently retired —are reunited—a touching reminder of how God weaves people into our lives for His greater purpose.

The seeds of vocation are often planted through the faithful witness of others, and Fr. Augustine’s example helped inspire a young altar server who would one day answer God’s call to the priesthood himself.

What a blessing to witness this full-circle moment of friendship, faith, and vocation. Please join us in thanking God for the priests who inspire generations to say “yes” to His call.
