🎶 Be honest, church family… how well do you know this one?

IN CHRIST ALONE

Which one are you?

✅ I know it and can sing it.
🤔 I’ve heard it, but I don’t really know it.
👋 This one is completely new to me.

And there is no wrong answer.

In fact, that’s exactly why we started sharing these Great Hymns of the Faith.

Some of these songs have been sung for generations. Others, like In Christ Alone, are much newer. But what matters most isn’t how old a hymn is.

It’s whether what we are singing is true.

In Christ Alone takes us through the heart of the Gospel: Christ came, Christ died, Christ rose again, and our hope rests in Him.

GREAT HYMNS OF THE FAITH 🎶

This week’s hymn is Crown Him with Many Crowns.

This is not merely a song about Jesus being important. It is a song about Jesus reigning.

The picture comes straight out of Revelation. Christ is not waiting to become King. He is the risen Lamb, victorious over death, worthy of worship, and Lord over all.

“And on his head were many crowns…”
Revelation 19:12 KJV

That changes the way we sing it.

We’re not singing about a helpless Savior who once lived a long time ago. We’re singing to the living Christ who died, rose again, reigns now, and is coming again.

That is why songs like this still matter.

Take a few minutes this week to listen, and pay attention to what this hymn says about Jesus.
