Great things can happen when ordinary people say yes to God's call.

Gideon Rescue Company was founded by Brock Meyer in 2010 in response to the devastating earthquakes in Haiti. What began as a small team stepping into disaster relief has grown into a worldwide ministry serving people in the midst of natural disasters, war, and humanitarian crises.

Inspired by the story of Gideon in the Bible, the organization believes God can use a faithful few to accomplish extraordinary things. Their teams provide medical aid, search and rescue, logistical support, and spiritual encouragement to people facing some of life's most difficult circumstances.

Volunteers come from all walks of life—firefighters, medics, military personnel, and everyday individuals united by a desire to serve others and share the love of Christ.

Whether responding to a disaster zone or supporting communities in crisis, Gideon Rescue Company seeks to bring hope, help, and the presence of Jesus to those who need it most.

We are grateful for ministries like Gideon Rescue Company that faithfully answer God's call to serve the vulnerable, the hurting, and the forgotten around the world.

Join us tomorrow as we welcome Eric Mills, President of Faces With Names International.

Eric has dedicated his life to serving vulnerable children and families around the world. An ordained pastor with a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, Eric has served in ministry for many years and previously worked with the Christian Alliance for Orphans as the U.S. Pastoral Director for Orphan Sunday and Stand Sunday.

Through his family’s adoption journey, God stirred Eric’s heart for orphan care in a profound way. What began with bringing their daughter home from China grew into a calling to serve orphans and widows around the world. Through ministry work in China, Burma, Nepal, Zambia, Swaziland, and Uganda, Eric witnessed firsthand the needs of vulnerable children and families and the power of the Church to make a difference.

That calling led to the launch of Faces With Names International, whose mission is to help orphans and widows move beyond survival and thrive in the purposes God has for their lives. Through practical, holistic, and sustainable care, FWNI is bringing hope and a future to those they serve.

We are excited to hear how God is working through Eric and Faces With Names International and how each of us can be part of caring for “orphans and widows in their distress” (James 1:27).

We hope you’ll join us for this special opportunity to learn, be encouraged, and discover how God is changing lives around the world.
