Naomi House offers an holistic program for healing and empowering women in recovery from drugs, alcohol and other life-controlling issues, for the restoration of families, and for the enrichment of communities near and far. Mission Statement:
Naomi House is a safe refuge that offers women who desire a new beginning the opportunity to achieve a victorious life. Through a personal relationship with
Jesus, a network of sound resources and a biblically-structured environment, women begin to experience freedom in every avenue of life. In turn, those who have been set free begin to act as a support for those who long to be. The vision of Naomi House was birthed from a principle taken from the book of Ruth, where God faithfully wrapped Naomi and Ruth under His wings and showed them mercy and kindness in their grief and despair. These willing women walked side-by-side by faith on the pathway that was laid out for them by their Redeemer. The women were completely restored and continued on the successful journey that God had originally intended for them. Our Beginning:
The Naomi House, Inc. is a non-profit, faith-based program dedicated to the recovery and rehabilitation of women in Ardmore and the surrounding area. Naomi House was founded in May 2007 by Cheryl Andrews, who calls Naomi House "my personal recovery story and a commitment to the Lord that I'm determined to keep--a commitment to give back." Cheryl is the Director of the program and serves on the board for the Naomi house. She and her husband have been married for six years. She is active in her local church, teaches a weekly morning Bible study, and leads adult Sunday School class. Our Purpose:
Our goal is to help women recover from addiction or victimization and turn theirs into lives of personal and social responsibility and productivity. Economic Encouragement:
Through assistance in obtaining employment and training in financial matters (budgeting, debt reduction, establishing savings, etc.), we equip women with the tools to make wise financial decisions. Emotional Support:
We address the issues that led to the history of poor choices and continue to provide guidance during their time as participants. Provision of Physical Needs:
We prepare women for future hope and security by making safe, affordable housing available and assisting with transportation and clothing. Spiritual Framework:
We believe that a faith-walk with Jesus Christ is the best way to victory in recovery. Through daily surrender to God, clients will have the strength and wisdom to make positive, godly choices.
