Happy Last Thursday of May!
Here is a message from Pastor Yia Lor!!

Lub Neej Nqhis Dej
Yauhas 7:37–39

Thov Vajtswv Leej Txiv thiab peb tus Tswv Yexus Khetos pub txoj kev tshav ntuj, kev hlub, thiab kev thaj yeeb rau nej. Amees.

Yexus sawv hauv lub Tuamtsev thiab qw nrov hais tias, “Yog leejtwg nqhis dej, cia nws los cuag Kuv thiab haus.”

Thaum peb pib nqhis dej lawm, peb lub cev twb qhuav dej lawm. Kev nqhis yog ib qho qhia tias peb xav tau yam uas yuav cawm tau peb txoj sia. Tiamsis tsis yog txhua yam dej yeej zoo rau peb lub cev. Muaj tej yam dej uas tsuas ua kom peb mob ntxiv xwb. Pivtxwv, dej daw ntsev ces yim haus yim yuav ua rau koj haj yam nqhis dej tuaj.

Peb sab ntsujplig kuj zoo ib yam li ntawd thiab.

Neeg ntshaw kev muaj nqis, kev hlub, kev zoo siab, kev thaj yeeb, thiab txoj sia. Kom txaus siab rau lawv lub siab nqhis, ntau tus tig mus nrhiav nyiaj txiag, haujlwm, kev lomzem, kev ntshaw, lossis kev sib raug zoo. Tej ntawd tej zaum zoo li vuag xwb, tabsis thaum kawg tseem ua rau tus neeg tshaib nqhis dua qub. Zoo ib yam li haus dej daws ntsev – nws pab tsis tau rau koj tus ntsujplig. Koj nev, koj nqhis dabtsis nyob hauv koj lub neej?

Yexus hais tias: “Los cuag Kuv thiab haus.”

Xh. Povlauj qhia tias lub pob zeb uas dej txhawv ntws tawm los yog Khetos (1 Kauleethaus 10:4). Yexus tib leeg xwb thiaj pub tau “dej ciaj sia” — yog Vaj Ntsujplig Dawbhuv — uas coj kev zam txim, kev ntseeg, thiab txojsia los rau peb.

Yexus twb muab dej ciaj sia no rau tus pojniam Xamalis ntawm lub qhovdej lawm thiab. Nws tau nrhiav kev hlub thiab kev lees paub nyob ntau qhov chaw, tabsis nws tseem nqhis. Yexus tsis ntiab nws, tabsis Yexus zam txim rau nws, pub txoj sia tshiab rau nws, thiab hloov nws lub neej.

Niaj hnub no peb tseem xav tau dej ciaj sia ntawd thiab. Yog tsis muaj Khetos, peb sab ntsujplig yuav qhuav dej — peb yuav tsis txaus siab, yuav tshawb nrhiav tas li, thiab xav tau yam uas lub ntiajteb no muab tsis tau. Tiamsis Yexus tseem caw peb niaj hnub no tias: “Yog leejtwg nqhis dej, cia nws los cuag Kuv thiab haus.”
Los ntawm Nws Txojlus, kev zam txim, Kev Cai Raus Dej, thiab Rooj Mov Dawbhuv, Yexus pub dej ciaj sia uas txaus siab rau peb tus ntsujplig. Nws pub txoj sia rau peb tam sim no thiab mus ib txhis.

Qhov no tsis yog lus dag. Yexus twb qhia tias yog qhov tseeb lawm thaum Nws sawv hauv qhov tuag rov los. Lub ntxa khoob lawm. Khetos muaj txoj sia nyob. Dej ciaj sia uas Nws pub yog qhov tseeb.

Yog li ntawd, cia li los haus. Khetos tib leeg xwb thiaj txaus siab rau tus ntsujplig nqhis dej. Khetos tib leeg xwb thiaj pub tau txoj sia uas nyob ib txhiab ib txhis.

Thov kom Vajtswv foom koob hmoov rau koj. Amees.

Dear Gathering Place – Lutheran Ministries family,
I would like to personally invite my GPLM family and friends to join Jehovah Lutheran Church for the Ascension Service on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 6:30 PM, at 1566 Thomas Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104. This will be a special time for the congregations and members of the St. Paul Metro Circuit to gather together in worship and fellowship as we celebrate our Lord's Ascension.
The Ascension of our Lord reminds us that Jesus is not absent from His Church. He reigns at the right hand of the Father, intercedes for us, and continues to bless His people through His Word and Sacraments. I encourage our GPLM members to come and worship together with our brothers and sisters in Christ. After the Divine Service, there will be hors d’oeuvres and desserts, and everyone is invited to bring a dish to share.

Happy Monday!
Here is a message from Vicar Tou Pao Lee.

CHRIST SUFFERED FOR YOU

19 For this is a gracious thing, when, mindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly. 20 For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God. 21 For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. 22 He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. 23 When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. 24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 25 For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. 1 Peter 2:19–25.
Peter reminds us that the Christian life is not free from hardship. At times, following Christ may lead to misunderstanding, rejection, or unfair treatment. In those moments, our first reaction is often to defend ourselves, become resentful, or repay hurt with hurt. Yet Scripture calls us to a different path — the path Christ Himself walked.
Jesus endured suffering with patience and trust in His Father. Though innocent, He carried the weight of our sins and willingly went to the cross so that we could belong to God. Through His sacrifice, we are forgiven, restored, and given new life. His wounds brought healing to our broken souls.
Because of Christ, suffering does not have the final word. We are no longer wandering alone like lost sheep. Jesus, our Good Shepherd, has brought us back to Himself and continues to watch over us with mercy and faithfulness.
When trials feel heavy or life seems unfair, fix your eyes on Christ. He knows your pain, walks beside you in every struggle, and holds you securely in His care. Through Him, we have peace, forgiveness, and the promise of His eternal kingdom.
In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Message from Vicar, Tou Pao Lee

NOT WITH SILVER OR GOLD

“18 You were redeemed from the empty ways handed down to you, not with perishable things like silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a Lamb without blemish or spot.” (1 Peter 1:18–19)

Peter teaches that our redemption did not come through anything temporary or earthly. Wealth cannot save us. Our works cannot justify us. Even an outwardly decent life cannot remove our sin or make us right before God. These are all passing things, and none of them can deliver us from sin, death, or God’s righteous judgment.
God is holy and just. He is not deceived by outward appearances but judges rightly, seeing into the heart. He knows our sin—our pride, our disordered desires, and the empty ways we often follow in search of peace apart from Him.
Yet Peter directs us to the Gospel. We have been redeemed by the precious blood of Christ. Jesus Christ, the sinless Lamb of God, offered Himself in our place. He bore our sin, endured God’s judgment against it, and by His death has made full atonement for us. By His resurrection, He gives us forgiveness, life, and salvation.
Therefore, our confidence does not rest in anything we do or possess, but in Christ alone. Through faith in Him, we receive the forgiveness of sins and a living hope that endures forever.

In the name of Jesus. Amen.
