Happy Monday 😊
🇺🇸 Labor Day Devotion
“Work Heartily, as to the Lord”
Scripture — Colossians 3:23–24 (KJV)
«“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”»
Labor Day is a time when we recognize and appreciate the work we do. Whether you work with your hands, care for a family, serve others, or spend your days helping those around you, God sees your labor.
The Bible reminds us that our work is not simply about earning a paycheck or receiving recognition from people. As Christians, we have the opportunity to honor the Lord in whatever He has placed before us.
Some days the work is rewarding. Other days it is tiring, frustrating, and seemingly unnoticed. But when we remember Who we are truly serving, even ordinary tasks can become acts of worship.
You may feel like nobody notices your effort—but God does.
You may feel like your work doesn't matter—but it matters to Him.
You may feel weary—but God promises strength and rest.
Jesus said:
«“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 (KJV)»
Today, as we enjoy a day of rest, let's also remember the One who gives us strength to work and the One who carries us when we become weary.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the strength and ability to work and serve. Help me to do everything I do with a willing heart, knowing that I am ultimately serving You. When I become tired or discouraged, remind me that You see my labor and that my service for You is never in vain. Give me strength for the work ahead and help me to find true rest in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
❤️ Labor for the Lord. Serve Him faithfully. Rest in His promises.
Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸
