Archbold United Methodist Church is a congregation of the United Methodist Church in the West Ohio Conference. At Archbold United Methodist Church, our mission is
to build authentic community where we “Live, Love, and Serve" as we grow in our relationship with God in order to be empowered to introduce others to Christ and transform the world. We value these three simple rules John Wesley taught:
D

o no harm
Do good
Stay in love with God

We strive to be
an Acts 2 Church: scripturally sound,
culturally relevant,
interconnected, and interdependent through small group ministry. Our passion lies in
developing leaders,
creating places for new people,
eliminating poverty, and
improving health globally. Our motto, “Love, Serve, Live,” refers to Jesus’ Great Commandment and also to the Great Commission: “Love God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength and your neighbor as yourself” and “Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.”

Archbold United Methodist Church is known for its welcoming hospitality, come-as-you-are nature, and opportunity to engage with others. We recognize our need as broken people to be in relationship with God and in relationship with each other. We believe in the living, active Spirit of God that guides, encourages, strengthens, protects, and sustains us in the midst of all of the trials. We follow in the example of Christ, seeking to be His disciples as we reach out beyond the walls of the sanctuary in mission and ministry. We act as the hands and feet of Christ others might know that same saving grace through Jesus and that we might build the Kingdom of God in this place and in this time. We believe that the Bible contains all things necessary for our salvation and is a living book that has life and meaning for every context of time and place. If this sounds like the kind of faith community that you are looking for, we invite you to come and share in the journey and discover where God leads us next in the discovery!

If you hear organ music coming from AUMC this morning, it is just Daniel R. Boyle rehearsing for his upcoming concert on June 28 at 4 PM! He posted a fun little story on his FB page this morning about a dream he had as he has been preparing for the concert. Below is the funny story! Make sure you have this special music event on your calendars! You won't want to miss it! Light refreshments will be served following the performance! We hope to see you on June 28 at AUMC!

Dan's story.....
This was one of the few mornings I had to sleep in and the only things on my schedule today were music related. Well, my body decided that sleeping in wasn't on the agenda. Maybe because I had a dream that I showed up for my upcoming June 28 concert (4:00 pm at Archbold United Methodist Church) having not provided my hosts with a program and I left all of my music (and my organ shoes) at Solomon, over an hour away. Not something to easily fall back asleep after. And given that it was only 4:00, I tried. Dozed off and had another dream. This one was telling me to change my opening song for my concert. The one that I was going to practice for this morning (with my shoes AND my music). The one in 20 days. I had been thinking I wanted to do something more on this concert to honor our nation's birthday than the one piece I have by an American composer on the program, but the piece I'm preparing for my two upcoming fall concerts is not close to being ready. I thought I had accepted in my mind that it wasn't worth stressing over. Evidently, my mind wasn't made up. So a little listen on YouTube this morning prompted a little downloadable online purchase and now in the midst of preparing this concert and learning about 45 minutes of new music for my fall performances, why not add one more project? Guess I need to get back to practicing!
