Weekly Sitting Schedule: (Newcomers are welcome at anytime. If you are new to Zen meditation, please come five minutes early to the scheduled

meditation time so that someone can help you. Orientation to Zen meditation is offered on a Monday once a month at 4:30 pm at 740 Park Ave. If you want an orientation and can’t come at that time, please call 826-1701. Sunday Mornings we meet at zendo, located at 740 Park Ave. If you are joining us for the first time, we request that you enter at any of the following times: First period of sitting meditation begins at 8:20 a.m., walking meditation begins at 8:50 am, with the second sitting period beginning at 9:00 a.m.; and public Dharma talks begin at approximately 9:40 a.m.. It is recommended to arrive at sits a few minutes early so to be seated before the bells are rung. Monday, and Wednesday we offer morning in person sitting at 740 Park Ave (hybrid both in person and on zoom). Morning zazen Monday through Friday is always on zoom (6:00am Zazen. 6:40am Service) at Rin Shin ji at 740 Park Ave. Weekday evening sittings Monday through Friday: 5:30 to 6:10pm at Rin Shin ji at 740 Park Ave., Arcata. Available in person, and on zoom. Eureka: Wednesday from 6 to 7PM at the First Methodist Church, 520 Del Norte Street, Eureka, California. Enter single story building between F & G on Sonoma St. Room 10. Beginners are asked to please arrive five minutes early. No zoom option, and in person only, please observe AZG covid 19 safety policy.

Our Story

Our regular schedule of in-person events is suspended in response to the the Covid crisis. Most of our programs and meditation periods are available via zoom. Please see our website for information about zoom and the most current information about our schedule.

If you are interested in having orientation to meditation, you can schedule an individual orientation to the practice of zazen, taught via zoom, by calling 826-1701.

The in-person programs listed below are cancelled till further notice:
