Recently a young adult asked, what do you do if at your church, you feel like some groups matter more than others or seemed to be loved more than others? This was not from our group or our Church but I feel like this question may enter our minds from time to time. Here was my personal response, please share additional words of wisdom or encouragement as we all can benefit from other’s perspective.
Aye, well 1st, define Church, we the people, Sinners saved by Gods grace are the Church. Then recognize that our local congregation is nothing but an AA meeting for Christians, let’s just call it a SSBGG meeting! As Christians we have to be smart enough to not look at people, not to be followers of people or praise individuals, and vigilant enough to realize it’s all about God. Many wise and intelligent people ask questions like this but you already know the answer. I, myself get myself in predicaments as I tend not to sugar coat or filter my thoughts before they become verbal and most of the time, it’s in a joking capacity. Nevertheless, people either love me or hate me and they will let you know one way or another. I’ve come to realize that what we perceive to be truth becomes our reality regardless whether it was taking out of context or not. Personally, and maybe I shouldn’t be like this, but how others perceive me, especially those who don’t even truly know me, doesn’t bother me one little bit. The way I see it, if God be for you what difference does it make who’s against you. Then we have to remember as Christians, we’re on the same team. So either let God use us for good to the best of our gifts, or satan will use us for evil unwilling and unknowingly to cause, doubt, divide and chaos within our own Family of God. Although we all cross oceans, our battles, our weaknesses are not the same. Souls that seem to bond closer than others may just be their God ordained circle. We should all be receptive enough to find our God circle. A place of true refuge, discipleship, and a safe place to be our brothers keeper. If I feel lead to move on to another cause I feel like I’m not getting what I need, then with the guidance of my Savior, I’ll March on. The objective, the mission is still the same but my duty, my orders may put me in a different platoon. Bottom line, don’t let chatter distract you from the mission. On Judgement day, God will not stop and ask if anyone would like to add to our faults or achievements, no one will say “hey, they should have done this or he should have done that another way.” We will stand on our own, on Judgement day and give an account. Love ya brother, you are wise beyond your years. I see a fire inside of you that could light up an entire generation, fyi, Satan does too. Stay vigilant my brother, be wise to satan’s manifestations. Always super excited and looking forward to see what God has in store for you!
