One of the most powerful moments in Scripture is when David speaks to his own soul and says:
“Bless the Lord, O my soul.” Why?
Because sometimes your soul does not feel like worshipping. Sometimes your soul feels abandoned. Disappointed. Heavy. Confused.
Exhausted.
In those moments, worship becomes a decision before it becomes a feeling. That’s maturity.
Because immature faith only worships when life feels good. But deep faith looks at pain, uncertainty, and heartbreak and still says:
“Oh my soul… we will worship the Lord anyway.” … there is something powerful about when you refuse to let your feelings lead you away from God.
When you worship while healing. Worship while waiting. Worship while fighting battles nobody else sees.
That kind of worship changes you. Because worship reminds your soul who God is even when life feels hard. And honestly? That’s how unshakeable a child of God is built.
Not in easy seasons. In worship-filled ones.
