Grace Covenant Baptist Church Grace Covenant Baptist Church exists to honor and glorify Jesus Christ as Lord. Located in Arab, AL, it is conveniently located just south of Huntsville.

6:30pm Grace Covenant Baptist Church was established in April 2008 by six families from Arab, Alabama who prayed earnestly that God alone would be glorified in the local church. These families, in discerning the merits of an elder led congregation and biblical church leadership, had come together months earli

er to search out the will of God for corporate worship. Desiring to covenant together, the group established a Constitution and By-Laws, and a name for the church was chosen. Grace Covenant holds to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. The church is a partner with Anchored in Truth, the missions arm of Grace Life Church of the Shoals, Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Several core distinctives define Grace Covenant:

1. Glory of God Focused – The glory of God is everything!

2. Christ-Centered – He is the honored center of all that we say and do!

3. Bible Saturated/Thoroughly Biblical – Our purpose, methods, and goals are from sound, biblical teaching.

4. Expository Bible Preaching – In-depth preaching of the Bible that explains the original intent and gives life application.

5. Biblical Conversion and Assurance – Determining a true follower of Christ evidenced by a new heart and changed life.

6. Biblical Evangelism – We implore all people to repent and believe, knowing it is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit.

7. Elder Led – The church has a body of elders/pastors who teach and shepherd the flock.

8. Deacon Service – Men who meet the physical & material needs of individual believers and the congregation as a whole.

9. Congregational Accountability and Responsibility – We meet often to encourage one another in love and good deeds.

10. Every Member Ministry – We encourage each person to use their spiritual gifts for the growth & ministry of the church.

11. Compassionate Church Discipline – We obey Christ’s commands to exhort those who are in blatant and unashamed sin.

We are excited to announce that we are launching a Trail Life Troop here at GCBC!

Trail Life USA is a Christ-centered outdoor adventure and discipleship program for boys that focuses on character, leadership, and adventure.

We are planning to hold our first troop meeting during the week of 8/31 and will also be hosting a “Join the Adventure” event on Saturday 8/1 for any families interested in learning more about the troop and Trail Life USA. More details will be shared soon!

If you are interested in learning more or joining Troop AL-1689, you can submit an interest form through Trail Life USA’s Find a Troop page below. This first year we are only going to have the Woodlands Trail (5-10 years) and we are still working through Navigators (11-13). We are still very much in the planning phase and will share details as we have them. Please join us in praying for this exciting ministry and for the Lord to be glorified here in Arab, Al!

We invite you to join us tonight at 6:30pm for a special service! We have the privilege of having Scott Aniol preach for us tonight for our midweek service. He will also be giving an update on G3 Ministries which we have partnered with over the last few years.

Scott Aniol is the President of G3 Ministries and Professor of Pastoral Theology at Grace Bible Theological Seminary. He also serves as an elder of Pray’s Mill Baptist Church in Douglasville, GA.
