Apple Valley Community of Christ

Apple Valley Community of Christ Come Worship with us ~ all are welcome! You can join in-person at our building or over Zoom. We promote communities of joy, hope, love, and peace.

We seek to model Christ's radical acceptance and genuine love for each person, exactly as they are, no exceptions. There is room at the table for you.

Faith takes a willingness to step forward and risk something new. Living faith isn't static or rooted to one place: it's moving, growing, changing.

Like seeds when they start to germinate, we also experience times of breaking as we grow. Old ideas and ways of being no longer work and constrain us. Growing in faith means pushing through the discomfort and living in uncertainty. It’s a sense of letting go, of loss and grief for what was.

Faith isn’t about denying our heartache at this transformation, but rather discovering within it a chance to reach out to God in new ways and to allow God’s comfort to nourish us for what comes next.

We are grateful to be Growing in Faith together!

We still need a few more volunteers for our booth at Twin Cities Pride! Can you join us?

We ask guests to write notes of encouragement to LGBTQ+ youth facing homelessness. For every note written, the church donates $1 - and all the notes - to a local nonprofit supporting the youth. As you can imagine, the booth gets quite busy with guests!

Here’s how many people we need:

Saturday, June 27
9:30 Shift - 2 people
12:30 Shift - 1 person
3:30 Shift - 1 person

Sunday, June 28
9:30 Shift - 2 people
12:30 Shift - 2 people
3:30 Shift - 2 people

Message this page or email Pastor Dan to sign up for a shift!

Do not be afraid.

Christ reminds us that being an Easter people, living as disciples of the Risen One will not always be easy.

Confrontation with the values of Empire never is.

Choosing peace in a world of war never is.

Breaking bread with those who may betray us never is.

Erasing lines of division as others race to draw more of them is not easy.

But do not be afraid.

You know what this new life means and you know what this new life can do. You’ve encountered it. Now it’s time to share it. Do not be afraid. Go, and tell others so they might also know the joy and hope of the peaceable reign of God on earth.

Do not be afraid. Wake up, and LIVE.

In a world marred by violence, Christ calls us to peace.

When we live peace, when we promote peace, when we work for peace, we will be called the children of God, those who reflect God's vision of peace in and for the world.

May peace be our mission, even as peace is Christ's mission.

Christ is alive!

On Easter, the story of life and death is redefined.

The Good News that echoes through the ages is that Christ has overcome all that would inhibit us from living in full communion with God and with one another and has set out the path of new life.

Christ is not defined by his death but by his life and relationship with God, and when we choose not to be afraid but to follow his Way we, too, awake to new Easter life here and now and beyond the veil of this mortal plane.

He is risen - alleluia!
