Join us and enjoy catered sambusas as we send off Pastor Peter before his visit to our partners in the Iringa Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. Feel free to bring prayer requests for Pastor Peter and additional food/drink, if you want.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: This picnic, besides having good food with good company, provides a space for us to think about making future travel more accessible and meaningful. Since 2001, Shepherd of the Valley has walked alongside our friends in Tanzania.

Shepherd of the Valley is heading to the MN United game on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏, and we’re making a whole evening of it. Enjoy a pre-game cookout just steps from the stadium, then cheer on the Loons from our block of seats.

We couldn’t have asked for a better kickoff to our Summer Campfire Worship last night! The turnout was incredible, and the weather absolutely showed out for us. There is nothing quite like gathering under the open sky, lifting our voices, and sharing in community around the warmth of the fire.

If you missed this first one, don't worry, we are just getting started! You have 3 more chances to tune up your instrument, grab a lawn chair, and join the circle.

Everlasting God, we thank you for all those in military service who laid down their lives for others.

Enable us to cherish their legacy of service with gratitude and empower us to extend our hands and hearts to all who call America home.

Comfort all who mourn and give purpose and peace to those who suffer the wounds of war.

We pray this through Jesus Christ.

Don't forget to wear RED this weekend!

Why red? This weekend is Pentecost...essentially the birthday of the Christian church. We wear red to remember the story of the Holy Spirit arriving like a spark of fire, filling Jesus' followers with the energy and courage to go out into the world.

For us, it's a celebration of community and the divine spark that keeps us moving forward together, even still.
