First Methodist Church of Apopka

First Methodist Church of Apopka First Methodist Church of Apopka has had a presence in the Apopka area since 1870.

Whether in worship, in Bible study, in service, or in fellowship, the Christian life was never meant to be a lonely one. We all hear the complaint that churches are full of hypocrites and judges, happy to weigh in on your failings and ignore their own. While we are far from perfect, we are serious about the grace that God offers us in Jesus, and the power given us by the Holy Spirit to make change

s and improvements in our attitudes and compassion for others. Wherever you are in your life and your spirituality, we want to be a helpful presence, not a condemning stare and judge!

PLEASE JOIN US
Sunday Morning

As you are undoubtedly aware we are on the cusp of our 250th anniversary as a nation. In light of that, Americans of faith are being asked to come together on Sunday, May 17th to come together and rededicate America as one nation under God.

While the words "we hold these truths to be self-evident, that we are endowed by our CREATOR with certain unalienable rights," is enshrined in our Declaration of Independence, sadly over time we have drifted from our moorings.

These words, along with many others, stand as a poignant reminder to all of us that our nation's strength rests not in its military, or in the hands of politicians, but rather in the hands of God Almighty.

This Sunday, we will take a few moments in service to pray silently for our nation. We all need to be in prayer for the healing of the great divide that we are currently experiencing, for peace in our country and throughout the world. We need to be praying for answers for the problems that are plaguing our nation, as well as praying for our revival as a nation.

We will have our chapel open this Sunday from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm for anyone who would like to spend additional time in prayer for our nation and its citizens. Prayer is the one thing that can unite us as a nation if we so choose. So, please join us this Sunday along with Christians throughout our land and lift our hearts and hands to the Lord.

Blessings,
Pastor John
