Have you ever caught yourself saying, "I'll believe it when I see it"? 🌅

Jesus actually calls us to completely flip that script. Our human logic wants the proof first—we want to see the miracle, the healing, or the breakthrough before we let ourselves truly trust. But Jesus teaches us a profound, life-changing truth: believing comes before receiving.

Genuine faith isn't built on what we can see or feel in this exact moment. It's built entirely on the unwavering character of a God who never breaks a promise. When we pray according to His will, He invites us into a radical kind of trust. It’s the quiet, powerful assurance that He has already heard your prayer and is moving in the unseen realm, long before the answer materializes in front of you.

We don't have to force an outcome or panic in the waiting. We simply seek His will, trust His heart, and live today as if the promise is already ours. Believing precedes doing—and it's the boldest step of faith you can take.

Prayer: Lord, help us to trade our doubt for radical trust today. Give us the bold faith to believe in Your promises even before our eyes see them fulfilled. Align our hearts with Your perfect will, and give us unshakeable peace as we patiently wait on Your timing. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Have you ever felt such deep sorrow for someone else's salvation that you would give up your own? In Romans 9, the Apostle Paul reveals an intense, heart-wrenching love for his people—even wishing he could be cursed if it meant they would be saved. 🤯 Pastor Jim dives deep into this powerful theological moment. How does Paul's radical empathy challenge the way we love the people around us? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Do you believe in Thor? What about Artemis? Pastor Jim highlights a fascinating point: as Christians, we look at the thousands of gods worshipped throughout history and reject all of them... except one! How does this perspective change the way we view our own faith and how we talk to others about it? What are your thoughts? 👇

In the first eight chapters of the biblical book of Romans, the apostle Paul outlines his understanding of the spiritual crisis humanity faces as well as the way of escape—the salvation—that God provides through Jesus. The next three chapters show Paul trying to convince his fellow Jews—his spiritual family—of the truth and beauty of the teachings he has just outlined. When the enthusiasm Paul feels for his newfound faith doesn’t impress his fellow Jews as he would like, his disappointment and concern are palpable.

My sermon for today delves into Paul’s dilemma of having to deal with an unenthusiastic target audience. We also look at the practicalities of sharing our convictions with those who don’t share our perspectives—whether we’re talking veganism, the benefits of exercise, support for a particular brand of car, or our spiritual or political allegiances.

In the realm of music, Sam Johnson is our pianist and song leader for our praise and worship segment, assisted by Estrella Vega and Elena Vega. Later in the service, Estrella and Elena sing a duet, and Elena favors us with a solo.

"We are saved by hope!" ✨

Pastor Jim reminds us that it's the anticipation of deliverance and the promise of a better future that gives us the strength to keep moving forward. Even when we don't know exactly what tomorrow looks like, we know we are God's children right now, and that hope changes everything.

What is something you are hoping for or anticipating in the season ahead? Let's encourage each other in the comments! 👇

You will not believe this story about a science experiment with a swimming mouse! Pastor Jim uses this incredible illustration to show exactly what happens to us when we have a genuine expectation of deliverance. A little bit of hope goes a long, long way. What is giving you hope today?

Have you ever confessed a mistake, but still carried the heavy weight of guilt?

The enemy loves to remind us of our past, making us second-guess and whisper, "Has God really forgiven me?" But here is the beautiful truth: God’s forgiveness doesn’t look like human forgiveness.

When we come to Him, He doesn't forgive us because we earned it—He forgives us because He is faithful and just. The cross fully satisfied the debt, making your forgiveness complete, definitive, and safe. God doesn’t keep a scorecard of your errors. The blood of Christ washes over our past, present, and future, casting our transgressions as far as the East is from the West. Guilt and shame no longer have a place in your story! Step into the freedom and peace of His grace today.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your radical, complete forgiveness. Help me to silence the accusations of the enemy and rest confidently in the truth that because of Jesus, I am fully cleansed and free. In Your holy name, Amen.

Did you know that the Roman concept of adoption meant you were fully and equally a member of the family, with witnesses to prove it? Pastor Jim dives into this beautiful metaphor to show exactly how God views us. He sees our messes and loves us anyway! Have you ever experienced the power of radical acceptance?

05/24/2026

It is easy to feel alone or forgotten when we are going through tough times, but Pastor Jim reminds us of a powerful truth from Romans 8. Hardship, trouble, and danger will never keep God from loving you! How has God shown up for you during a difficult season?
