Last night a generation showed up on a random Monday night to seek God with their whole heart. What was experienced last night is rare. High School kids are hungry. Don’t hinder their hunger. This verse in scripture is the only way to explain what happened last night.

Men’s and Women’s group met last night. Hungry for Gods presence, challenged to be consumed with His word. Living the gospel and bringing others along the journey is no easy task. So proud of this group. Prayed an anointing of Gods spirit to go with one of our college men’s group leaders to Colombia for the next couple months. Just 2 weeks ago, how are you doing? Your commitment to God, to each other, How are you doing? Have you gone back to life as usual? This was a sacred moment in time. It is not a one time stop and get your feels in. Faith in the fire is in the mundane, it is in the comfort and spiritual slumber, it is in the grief and the loss. God is calling you to be purified and holy. Go back and review your commitments. Meet with your accountability partner or small group leader. Praying for you all.

Refining one’s soul sometimes has to be in the form of tough conversations. There is never a comfortable conversation at men’s or women’s groups. Purifying refining fire takes time and it is never easy. But the reward is great. Join the journey. You won’t be comfortable.
