New Hope MBC - Chatham Thank you for visiting the online home of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church! A committed body of Christian believers striving to please God in every endeavor.

We invite you to visit with us for any of our services. We look forward to seeing you! From a Sunday School class started by Sister Williams, a full-fledged church blossomed. During that warm, pleasant summer, the freed slaves sang, testified, and prayed to God who had delivered them from their own personal Egypt land. After cold weather began, they were allowed to meet down in the public school for Negro children in the community.

Part II of today’s FISHing Sunday meant free health care screenings that were provided by Care Access. Each participant will receive their personal screening results within the next few weeks and those results can then be shared with a personal physician.

A big thank you to the Care Access team for giving us an opportunity to ensure we are on the correct paths for our health!

We are truly thankful for all of the items donated for Part I of today’s FISHing Sunday! New Hope collected items in memory of our dear sister, Cloyce Hunter, for We Care We Share, the nonprofit organization she co-founded. These food items will help bridge the food insecurity gap for children during the summer months.

Being able to serve our community is always a blessing!

The Deacons Ministry is proud to partner with the S.A.L.T. Ministry to provide these free health screenings in the Mabel B. Winston Fellowship Hall at New Hope on 5/31/2026. Join us for worship service at 10:30 AM, then stay for FISHing Sunday (Fellowship Invite Share Help others to see the love of Jesus) immediately following worship service.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Please bring a government-issued photo ID card and an email address. Sign up today and share with a friend!
