Update (6/6 @ 12:30p):
Things have taken a turn for the worse for Miss Goss. She has extremely low blood pressure, her lungs are aspirating, and they think her heart may give out. They have transfered her to Intensive Care, but if the Lord doesn't intervene soon, it looks like she may pass soon.

Update (6/5 @ 12p):
Miss Goss came through surgery and is recovering, but is still in need of prayers. She now needs to recover from this surgery on her ankle (they installed a plate and some screws) as well as a broken femur and several other areas of breaks, so she still has a long road ahead of her. The plan was that she would be in the hospital until around Monday and then be transferred to Fuquay Rehab, but that of course may change.

Original Post:
Please be praying for Miss Goss. She will be having surgery on her ankle tomorrow morning at Wakemed in Raleigh. They said there is a real chance that the bone could break through the skin with even a slight movement and won't heal without it, so surgery is necessary.

Due to her age, this is a very serious surgery, so please be praying that it goes well.

Please be in prayer for Miss Goss. She fell on Wednesday and broke several bones in her left leg. She is currently in UNC at Holly Springs, but will not have surgery due to her age unless it becomes absolutely necessary. She should be moved to rehab in Fuquay-Varina sometime tomorrow.

Please pray that everything heals up well and that she doesn't need surgery, as well as good pain management.

Here is the obituary for Russ McClelland for anyone that can make it over. The visitation is tonight at Clarke Funeral Home (110 E. Fifth Avenue, Kenbridge, VA 23944) from 4p-6p. The graveside/funeral will be tomorrow at Kenbridge Heights Cemetery (139 West Street, Kenbridge, VA 23944) at 11a.

Please be praying for the family of Danny Ottaway. This afternoon Danny's mom passed into her home in heaven. While it's always sad to lose a loved one, Danny said that she had more loved ones in heaven than on this earth, with one of the strongest being her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Funeral plans are not yet known, but they will be over at the coast where she lived.

This Saturday will be a special event for all teenagers and their families. To kickoff the summer, we will host a picnic at the church under the pavilion outside. All teens and their families are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert, as the church will provide hamburgers off the grill. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with your family as we enjoy fellowship and games together. Hope to see you there!

Special thanks to all who came to our carwash Saturday! Your support for our youth is greatly appreciated. Praise the Lord that we raised $871 for our youth the go to camp this summer! Thanks again for investing in the spiritual lives of these young people!

This Saturday is our Youth Group's Carwash fundraiser. All proceeds help fund summer camp expenses. There is no charge to have your car cleaned, but any donations are greatly appreciated. This is a great opportunity to clean off your car while supporting the spiritual lives of our youth!
