Thankful for this Sunday! From worshiping together, hearing Tyler preach his first sermon back after sabbatical, and praying over our kids as they head into a new school year—we’re reminded again of what a gift it is to be part of a church family.

We’re so excited to officially welcome Gus Zegarra to the Shelter Church team as our new Worship Director! 🎉 Gus was born in Peru and raised in Florida, and he brings more than 15 years of ministry experience serving in worship, production, and creative leadership. He has a deep love for Jesus, a passion for leading the church in worship, and a heart for equipping others to use their gifts to serve. Gus and his wife have been together for five years, and in his free time he enjoys writing music, exploring new technology, and spending time at home with their three cats. He’s also a big movie fan and loves a good night in watching films together. We’re so thankful for how God has led Gus to Shelter, and we can’t wait to see how He uses him in the life of our church!

(almost all of) the AMAZING crew that made VBS so special for our kids! What a joy it is to see our church come together and use their gifts to teach, comfort, encourage, and make these kids laugh! A huge thank you for all those who helped out with VBS in any way!

This Sunday at Shelter, we kicked off our new series through the book of James and gathered for our Members Lunch after service. Grateful for the opportunity to reflect on all God has done in and through our church over the past year, and get to dream together about what’s ahead!
