Friends, we are ALL answerable to our Creator. It is imperative that we are prepared to meet Him. The meeting is inevitable and He does not negotiate. It's His way or Hell.
GOOD NEWS! He provides everything you need for the meeting. Don't show up empty handed, you'll fail. Seek Him for the one sacrifice that is acceptable. You'll find it in Isaiah 53. Check it out.

The love that we all want in a marriage isn't the love that we start with. The initial love hasn't been tested yet, it is like a surface charge on a car battery. The voltage may read correct, but when you turn the key to start, it loses power. The love we desire is the result of a good marriage, not the cause of it. The love that counts is tested and then endures. There isn't often a lot of sparks, but the steady glow is worth more. Build your relationships on character and the love will grow.

I can have a discussion with someone else about my beliefs and convictions without feeling threatened by a differing opinion because I know what I believe and why. I can respect another person and their beliefs, though different than mine, and get along peacefully. Where things get a little dicey, is when someone comes on my platform and berates me or someone else in the discussions. When the berating quickly evolves into blatant bullying, I take decisive action. After a polite warning and request for a change of behavior, if not forthcoming, I will unfriend and block the offender without regret. Civil discourse seems to be a dying practice that I would like to see revived. I don't think the revival of civility will occur as long as we tolerate bullying.

Marriage is not the same for Christians as it is for the rest of the world. For Christians, marriage is a reflection of God's relationship with His people. The rest of the world does not have that knowledge of God. Christian marriage is suffering today because we are allowing the world's concept of marriage to force us into conformity to the world's values. Secular counselling, self-help books, or even religious seminars cannot convey to believers the Biblical truths that will enable us to actually reflect God's will in our marriages. Therefore, we must turn the flood of information that is overwhelming us and retreat to the safety and security of the blessed Book of God, the Bible, for instruction on how to live in marriage as men and women of God. Forsake the popular cultural themes, the psycho-babble, and the syrupy romance themes and commit ourselves to serving God His way, in the roles He created us for, and that He designed and commanded as reasonable service.
If we want God's blessing, we must live life God's way.

EVERYTHING that can be known about God's relationship with His created beings (people) is designed by God Himself, to be taught and demonstrated in the marriage relationship. Every culture in the world that has been influenced by the Gospel of Christ and the written Word of God has had their spiritual status corrupted to the same degree that they have deviated from God's design for marriage.

Don't confuse our Constitution as a republic with the Republican party. Don't confuse the Democrat party with democracy. Neither party are what their names imply.
We need to get back to our founding roots.
