Antioch First Baptist Church The City of Antioch TN was named after Antioch First Baptist Church! The church was established in 1810. We have a Christ centered worship gathering each week.

God is doing great things in our church and community and we would love for you and your family to come and be our guest. Sunday school at 9:15 AM

Worship at 10:30 AM every Sunday morning! Pastor Matt will deliver a message from the Bible that will give you strength and encouragement to live for the Lord. We would love an opportunity to meet you and explore how you can become a part of AFBC.

There has been much discussion about the role and function of women in the church. Yesterday’s text, providentially, was 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 about head coverings.

I believe we can hold true to the instructions of male only pastors/elders/overseers, while at the same time being blessed by women using their gifts of prayer and prophecy in the public worship gathering.

Tomorrow we look at what it means to live our lives all for the Glory of God! While we will never be perfect, we can strive to live in a way that compels people to follow Jesus, rather than repelling them.

If you have been away from the church because of how others have behaved, we get it. We know many hurts have come from those who claim to follow Jesus. Would you allow those hurts to be healed by Jesus, and remember He has been faithful to you even when His people may have not.

How do you feel about your past?
Does it haunt you?
Does it keep you up at night?

If you are in Christ, you have been forgiven and do not have to carry the weight of your past. But you can learn from it. You can see where you were living for yourself, and, with the Spirit’s help, live a different way.

Paul uses the first 13 verses of chapter 10 to call us to look back and learn from the mistakes of the Israelites.

Join us tomorrow as we walk through this passage together.
