Camp P226 is about fulfilling the mandate of what is written on "training up a child in the way to go..." We understand that in order to train up children there must be instructions, and teachings that will help them prepare for life's journey. God has given us wisdom too teach using biblical knowledge and understanding to have enjoyment while at camp.
We've just completed our first camping trip. While at camp children had bible study daily, as well as swimming, and arts/crafts. Our teachings were on faith, courage, respect, honor, obedience, responsibility, love and the promise of the rainbow. We sang song's that spoke to our spirit words of encouragement. We all witness the power of God through our song of worship singing Natalie Cole's "Our Love, as Our God" by the lake. Some of our activities included making smore's, smoothies, painted t-shirts, camp banner, and having a talent show. Our theme song became "Good Day" by Nappy Roots.
It was a great week one youth found out how he can do without WiFi.
