Because of your generous gifts, we were able to award Abishai, from one of our IM Global Partners, a scholarship this year. A student himself, he recently shared the Word with some Kurdish people from Muslim backgrounds who have been exploring and learning about Christ. He says, "Their hunger and thirst for Christ is truly amazing and deeply encouraging."

Abishai expressed his thanks to WNAC for the scholarship: "This means so much to me, and I deeply appreciate your kindness and support."

THIS IS THE MOMENT to make a difference!

Today some of our volunteer staff from Cofer's Chapel FWB joined with Kristi Johnson for a quick lunch near the WNAC office. We're SO THANKFUL for their faithfulness to help us complete many needed tasks each week!

From addressing envelopes and writing encouraging notes to organizing promotional materials and gathering contact information, these volunteers (and several more) are helping sustain the heartbeat of WNAC during this challenging season.

You, too, can help by joining the Giving Tree!

Today we were invited to Welch College to participate in their Christian Service Opportunity Fair, where we met lots of students who are interested in serving local non-profits and ministries this semester. We love getting to see how God is using young people to minister, and we are so thankful for students who showed interest in being a part of helping women fulfill their role in the Great Commission.

This morning, the editorial team for ONE Magazine with the National Association of Free Will Baptists, Inc. spent time working through the next issue...and we loved every minute of it!

Brainstorming together. Sharing ideas. Talking through upcoming concepts. And praying together.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to work alongside each of our denominational departments as we seek to fulfill ONE Magazine’s purpose: to “communicate to Free Will Baptists a unifying vision of our role in the extension of God’s Kingdom.”

ONE Lord.
ONE voice.
ONE vision.
ONE Magazine tells our story.

The Cleo Pursell Scholarship is awarded by WNAC to foreign students who are studying in Bible Institutes and seminaries around the world. The scholarship has been underfunded the past few years, and we have not been able to help as many people. One of the students we are helping this year is Boris, the Director of the Pinar del Rio Seminary in Cuba, as he is finishing up his doctoral studies.

Pray for the Lord of the harvest to work in hearts of people who are interested in supporting this ministry.

At the National Association of Free Will Baptists, Inc. during our seminar on "The Future of WNAC," we asked attendees to fill out a survey to help us begin to write the future of WNAC together. From the responses, we have found the TOP TEN ministries that women value at WNAC.

Which one is closest to YOUR heart? Comment below!

On July 19-22, we EXPERIENCED WNAC a whole new way in Columbus, Ohio, at the National Convention! Women traveled from coast to coast to be there. Here’s a recap of the week…

MONDAY

On Monday morning, Kristi Johnson gave her report to the General Board. She was joined by all the other national departments and truly felt their support as she has taken on this new role as Director of WNAC.

Monday afternoon when the exhibit area opened for the first time, people from all across the denomination stopped by to see our booth, grab some swag, hear about Shine! and WNAC ministries, and fill the shelves of our pop-up Provision Closet for missionaries.

After the evening service, over 200 people gathered for “A Walk in Her Shoes,” where Bethany Douglas (NAM), Angela Wooton (NAM), Jen Thomsen (IM), and Andie Greenwood (IM) spent time in a conversation panel sharing about their ministries. What a great time to connect with women who go and women who send!

Tuesday

The OHWAC Board joined with the WNAC Board for a delicious breakfast and sweet time of fellowship and connection. The OHWAC ladies presented a LARGE check to WNAC to help with the expenses of the convention. We are so thankful for them and all they did to make this week happen!

During a morning seminar, Kristi Johnson shared about “The Future of WNAC” where many women from all across the denomination participated in a questionnaire about ways to move into the future. The ladies present were able to be a part of writing that future as they gave their ideas and shared together.

El Futuro de WNAC was also shared in the afternoon in the heart language of our Spanish-speaking women. Together, they brainstormed ways they can be involved in getting their cultural experience into the heart of WNAC for future ministry. This historic meeting in Spanish was fundamental in creating paths for a whole new field of ministry among women.

Another powerful WNAC seminar was shared by Rachelle Burchett, WNAC Board member: “It’s not Personal, it’s Personality!” Laughter abounded while women learned about themselves and how they are made to be a part of ministry. Katie Postlewaite, WNAC Board member, described the seminar as, “very energetic and informative.” She continued by saying, “I felt like I walked away from it learning more about myself and other people.”

During the Tuesday evening service at the Vertical Three Conference, we introduced the 2027 theme of Shine! to teen girls: BE STILL AND BEHOLD! We can’t wait to see many girls experience this event next year on February 27! Apply now to be a host location church. It’s simple, and we’ll help you every step of the way.

WEDNESDAY

During the business session on Wednesday, WNAC Director Kristi Johnson shared her annual report to the convention. She excitedly told about the way faithful supporters have helped supply needs for an underfunded WNAC General Fund this year. After budget cuts and careful stewarding of finances, WNAC is on track to meet a three-year goal of stabilizing the heartbeat of WNAC through a healthy General Fund.

Three WNAC Board members were honored for faithful completion of their terms: Katie Postlewaite, Jessica Edwards, and Tracy Payne. Phyllis York and Ruth McDonald were celebrated as they also ended their time of service with WNAC over the past year. We are so thankful for each person who has served WNAC to help share the ministry of WNAC with women across the denomination.
