Should I take the job? Marry this person? Buy the house?

We ask God for a sign and wait. Most of the time, He’s already told us what He wants in His Word. The harder part is being willing to do it.

We’re walking through the book of Jonah this fall.
You’re invited to join us!

“If I start following Jesus, God will fix my marriage.”
“If I get in the Word, my kids will talk to me again.”

A lot of us hope it works that way, and sometimes it does! Based on what the Bible teaches, every sin you bring to Jesus can be forgiven. But forgiveness doesn’t always undo what that sin broke. People have free will, and some things may never get fixed.

God isn’t in the business of redeeming your past. He’s in the business of redeeming you.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

And as He does, He creates the conditions for the best future possible from right where you are.

Jesus forgave the people who nailed Him to the cross. Not all of them were sorry.

Some people will never admit what they did to you. Like Jesus, you can still forgive them and leave the justice to God.

Watch Unfinished Week 02 on our website, and join us Sunday at 9:00 or 10:45.

Community Groups started this week.

The Bible calls us to love one another, encourage one another, and carry one another’s burdens. That’s hard to do for people you only see across the room on Sunday.

Groups are where we get to know each other well enough to actually live that out. You’ll pray for people by name, notice when someone’s missing, and show up when life gets hard for them.

If you’re not in a group yet, there’s still room for you. Find one in the RCC app or sign up using the link in our bio. We’d love to have you.

“I really screwed up. I’m sorry.”

Most of us have said it. And most of the time, the other person responds by listing everything we did wrong. That happens because we left it out.

Being vague feels safer when we’re embarrassed. But it keeps the focus on us instead of on the person we hurt. When the prodigal son came home, he didn’t say he’d made some mistakes. He said, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.”

So here’s the how. Say what you did. Then ask, “Will you forgive me?”

We think staying vague saves face. It actually costs us respect. Humility is what earns it back.

This is from week one of Unfinished, a three-part series on what God does with a life that is willing. This Sunday we keep talking about how to release what you’re still carrying from your past.

Sundays at 9:00 and 10:45.

For the last two Sundays we’ve been talking about a potter and a lump of clay, because that’s how the Bible describes what God does with a person’s life. He doesn’t go looking for people who have it all together. He works with what’s a mess, and he does it on purpose. All the clay has to be is willing.

Today we start Unfinished, expanding on what Michael Ferris taught us these past two weeks and going further into what it means to be a piece of clay God is still working. We’ll be discussing how to release what you’re still carrying from your past, what God is changing in you now, and where he’s taking you from here.

You’re invited to join us!
Today at 9:00 and 10:45.

What happens if you don’t heal from your pain? Nobody sets out to build their life around something that hurt them. It happens quietly, over years, until the shape of your life is decided by something you never dealt with.

A pot that comes apart on the wheel doesn’t get thrown out. The Potter lifts it up and starts again.

Nobody plans for the hard season. You just wake up one day and everything is pressing at once. Work, money, health, marriage, school.

The pressure is real, but it also isn’t random. The Potter has a plan.

He never digs up perfect clay. He knows what’s in it and he works it anyway. The pressure is what makes it strong enough to be shaped.

Full message on our website, link is in the bio. Come this Sunday, 9am or 10:45am to hear part 02 of the message.
