Palm Sunday ( this Sunday, March 29th) at FMC Anson means a wonderful spirit filled worship service at 1045, followed at 1pm by Hot Dog Cookout, Easter Egg Hunt, and Egg Toss Competition. Members remember to bring a sidedish good for hot dogs, bag of chips, or a dessert. Looking forward to a great time.

NOTICE FROM THE FIRST METHODIST CHURCH OF ANSON FOOD BANK TO THEIR CLIENTS:

What a blessing to our congregation that construction has started on our new sanctuary! However, with this blessing comes a few "growing pains". The south entrance to the church will not be accessible until the new building is complete, which will be, at the very best, twelve months. We are working on another entrance that will be client-friendly to enter and exit the building for the future. Hopefully, this plan will come together for distribution during the month of APRIL. But, for distribution in the current month of MARCH, we will have to pre-pack boxes and distribute them to you in the parking lot. On Thursday, March 26, please enter the parking lot from the west and park in the parking lot on the west side of the church. Remain in your vehicle! At 3 pm, a volunteer will come to your vehicle, sign you in and bring a box to load for you to take home. We realize that this is not ideal, but we are hoping to return to some form of shopping in the following months. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work through these changes together.

We at First Methodist Church are providing a repeat service of our Sunday morning worship. Trying something new to facilitate worship for all those who were unable to attend. Meeting at 6 PM Wednesday in our sanctuary! Come grow with us!!

Ash Wednesday opportunities!!

7-830 am COME AND GO ASHES(drive through) prayer, short thought for the season of Lent, imposition of Ashes & a take home 40 day scripture reading guide for Lent!

630pm Ash Wednesday service…a service of reflection, repentance and renewal. Music, scripture, Bible lesson, imposition of ashes & a blessing for the season!!
All faiths welcome!

First Methodist Church, Anson Food Pantry will still be open Thursday from 3-530. This is re-registration month so bring paperwork. (Photo Id and proof of residency in Jones County).
