KTAB/KRBC TV came out this morning and did an update on the progress of our building. They talked to Molly Morrow, John Berry, and myself!  it is supposed to start showing tonight during the the 5, 6 and 10 PM broadcasts, and the morning show tomorrow morning!

In this week’s Wednesday worship, we start our sermon series on the hymns!  The congregation chose 5 favorite hymns to be sermon topics for the next five weeks! The first hymn they chose was “joy to the world.” Join us on Wednesday at 6 PM as we celebrate, and study this great Christmas Carol?? COME GROW WITH US!!

What a great Sunday we had at first Methodist Of Anson. Pug Parris did a wonderful job of preaching, her twin grands Brody and Braxton did a fantastic job on their hymn medley and we had a wonderful fellowship meal to top it off!  If you had to work on Sunday, join us for our Wednesday worship, Penny Stewart one of our own members is going to be preaching! COME GROW WITH US!!

This Sunday, May 31st, is going to be an exciting day in our church!!! Pug Parris, from McMurry Univ., will be our guest preacher. Then we will have our fifth Sunday fellowship meal. Grilled hamburgers and all the trimmings, members remember to bring a dessert and a side, the church furnishes everything else.  Come Grow With Us!!

Good News, Pantry Clients!

This month, we are going to attempt to return to client shopping. Park in the west parking lot as usual. The check-in table will be at the south door (on your right). If you are physically able (there are 2 steps to climb), you may enter the building through those doors, proceed to be seated and wait for your number to be called. For those of you who choose not to come in, we will have some chairs there where you can sit down and someone will visit with you about the choices we might have that day. We realize this is not ideal, but we are doing our best to ensure that you have as much choice as possible about the foods that you receive. Know that we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we “muddle through” this building phase that we have all been anxiously awaiting. See you on the 28th!
