Over these last three days of ministry, we’ve seen the Lord work in meaningful and fruitful ways as we serve alongside Pastor Omar Palma and the church family at Misión Bautista Tabernáculo. Our team has been focused on completing the awning and concrete work at the mission house, while also investing in women’s Bible studies and children’s VBS.

Today, we traveled up to the village of Pajuiles, where we delivered 10 water filters and had the opportunity to share the gospel with children at the local school, as well as with adults who gathered to listen. It was a special time of ministry and connection.

Once we return, the final steps will include installing the gutters and lighting for the awning. Tomorrow, we will make our way back down from the mountain, grateful for all that God has allowed us to be part of.

First full day of serving in Las Brisas alongside Grace Point Fellowship and Misión Bautista El Tabernáculo. We had a blessed Sunday morning worship service—I had the privilege of teaching, and members of the team led children’s church. Afterward, we began working on the awning project for the mission house, but had to pause due to an unexpected rainstorm. Flexibility is essential in missions, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to serve, no matter the circumstances.

We wrapped up the last two days of ministry serving in Santa Rosa de Aguán and in the Pech community of Moradel, Colón.

On Tuesday, we delivered 25 food packages, went door to door sharing the gospel, and worshiped with our brothers and sisters at Iglesia Bautista Misericordia in the Garifuna Village of San Rosa de Aguan. We thank God for two professions of faith and for the gospel seeds that were planted.

Yesterday, we traveled to Trujillo and then continued on to the Pech village of Moradel. There, we met with Pastor Ángel and leaders from the local church. We had a meaningful time together, learning about the Baptist work in the area and exploring how we can partner with them. We also visited the homes of church members, prayed together, and walked through the community.

We are excited about the opportunity to serve in this part of Honduras. Please pray for us as we return to Yoro, and as the team prepares to fly home on Friday.

Yesterday, our mission team from Indian Springs Baptist Church had the joy of serving in the community of Santa Rosa de Aguán, a Garífuna community along the Caribbean coast. It was a true blessing to partner with Pastor Arkangel and Iglesia Bautista Misericordia.

During our time there, we distributed 25 water filters, shared the Gospel, and prayed with members of the church and the community. We also had the opportunity to walk through the community and visit with one of the church members, learning more about the Garífuna people and their way of life, challenges and difficulties.

Today, we will return to deliver food packages, go door to door, and participate in a church service.
Thank you all for your continued prayers as we serve and seek the Lord’s guidance for future mission teams.

Saturday, I picked up the mission team from Indian Springs Baptist Church and we traveled to the team house in Ayapa. The team was originally scheduled to serve in the mountain community of El Robledal, but due to unexpected heavy rains, the road became inaccessible.

After seeking the Lord’s direction, we adjusted our plans and headed north to serve among the Garífuna and Pech ethnic communities in the province of Colón. Alomg the way we met up wirh Pastor Moise Valladares current Vice president of the Baptist Convention and Pastor Uzziel Oro, his church provides overisght of the mission church in the Pech community in Moradel.

Today and tomorrow, we are serving in Santa Rosa de Aguán alongside Pastor Arkangel and the local Baptist mission church. This is a Garífuna community right on the coast. Our ministry includes distributing water filters, going door-to-door with the Gospel, and tomorrow we will also be delivering food packages.

We truly appreciate your prayers as we serve in these new communities, trusting the Lord to work in every conversation and every act of service.

“Missions begins when we stop asking what is comfortable for us and start asking what will serve Christ best.”

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33

At the heart of missions is a shift in priorities. By nature, we are drawn to comfort—familiar places, predictable routines, and personal security. Yet Christ calls His followers to something higher. In Gospel of Matthew 6:33, Jesus does not suggest that we add His kingdom to our list of concerns; He commands that we seek it first.

Missions begins the moment we surrender our preferences and place Christ’s purposes above our own. It means asking not, “What do I want?” or “What is easiest?” but rather, “What will most glorify Christ?” and “How can I best serve His kingdom?”

This kind of surrender is not a one-time decision—it is a daily posture. It may lead us across the world or simply across the street. It may require sacrifice, inconvenience, or even suffering. But when Christ becomes our priority, obedience becomes our joy, and service becomes our natural response.

When we truly seek His kingdom first, we begin to see people the way He sees them—as souls in need of the Gospel. Our time, resources, and energy begin to align with His mission. Comfort loses its grip, and calling takes its place.

“Missions is not built on momentary passion, but on lifelong faithfulness.”

Back in Honduras as we get ready for the last two mission teams this spring season. Both teams will be serving in remote areas, one in the mountain village of Las Brisas and the second one in the Moskitia, serving among Garifuna and Pech communities. Pray for our staff and teams, pray for my family and for me, as I been dealing with some back pain. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
