In February, United Way of East Central Alabama opened The Martha Vandervoort Center to End Homelessness—known throughout our community as Martha’s Hope. Since opening our doors, we’ve provided emergency shelter, compassionate case management, and on-site mental health services to over 200 individuals and families facing homelessness in Calhoun County.

Today, I’m reaching out with a time-sensitive opportunity. We are in the final stretch of a critical dollar-for-dollar match campaign. Every dollar donated between now and this Friday, June 13, will be matched up to $50,000, thanks to the generosity of a committed group of supporters.
