Please sign up to help us with the Winter Relief Shelter, Anne Arundel County's shelter for unhoused neighbors!

Winter Relief is a program that runs from October to March each year and houses homeless people in Anne Arundel County during these colder months. Many churches and places of worship volunteer each year, and the guests stay there for a week at a time. We provide a warm place to stay, meals, laundry services and fellowship with our neighbors who don't currently have a place to live. There are 11 guests coming to stay here.

There are many opportunities to volunteer during the week. Please see these two signup links for the volunteer opportunities for the week 3/9 - 3/16. We alternate days with CSCUMC -- please use either of these two links to sign up to help.

Broadneck Baptist Church has been SOLARIZED! Instead of snow on the roof, we now have solar panels! Installed by Flywheel Renewables, the panels will collect and store solar energy to provide electricity for the church building. Any energy not used will be stored for use on cloudy days or “sold back” to BG&E. Going solar is part of Broadneck’s mission to care for and protect our environment.
