As we enter into the season of Lent, join us for our Ash Wednesday service at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 18. The service will include Scripture reading, prayer, hymns, Holy Communion, and Imposition of Ashes. Hope to see you there.

If you plan to worship in-person with us tomorrow at 9:00 a.m., we highly recommend parking in the Summit Drive parking lot and using the Summit Drive sanctuary entrance.

(The walkway to the Chestnut Tree Drive side sanctuary entrance still has quite a bit of ice on it since the building shades a good portion of the pavement from the sun.)

With the heavy snow forecast for Saturday night through Monday morning, there’s a good chance that Sunday worship will be canceled. A go/no-go decision will be made and communicated via social media and our churchwide email list no later than 7:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

We have 17 Christmas poinsettias for the taking. Most are red. A handful are white (the whites do look a bit rough, but probably aren't too far gone for someone with a green thumb.)

Message us if you'd like to arrange pick up for any.

If you'd like to help cover the cost for them, a suggested donation of $10 per plant would be appreciated.

Cape St. Claire United Methodist Church is looking to hire a new accompanist to help lead us in worship on Sunday mornings. Including practice time outside of Sunday morning services, this is an 8-10 hour per week position. Services are every Sunday morning from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Interested candidates must be a skilled pianist with excellent sight-reading abilities. (Proficiency on the organ is a plus.) Whether you're a long-time member or worshiping with us for the first time, you're invited to join us for our Christmas Eve worship service on December 24, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. where we will read and hear the Word, sing classic Christmas hymns, and partake of Holy Eucharist - all in celebration of the Incarnation and birth of the Lord Jesus Christ into the world. O Father of mercies and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need: We humbly beseech you to behold, visit, and relieve your beloved daughter LaTrelle for whom our prayers are desired. Look upon her with the eyes of your mercy; comfort her with a sense of your goodness; preserve her from the temptations of the enemy; and give her patience under her affliction. In your good time, restore her to health, and enable her to lead the remainder of her life in your fear, and to your glory; and grant that finally she may dwell with you in life everlasting; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Starting at 9:00 a.m. Monday, July 28 Cape UMC will begin accepting Fall 2025-Spring 2026 parking applications for Broadneck High School students. We have 27 spots available for BHS students who wish to park near the school. We offer each spot at a rate of $50/semester and $100/academic year.

To apply for a parking spot, please email your completed application to [email protected] no earlier than 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28. Applications submitted before 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28 will initially be disregarded and must be resubmitted for consideration.
