I cannot believe how time is flying by. It is June 1st - 2026 - and life is moving fast. It appears that come July 1 - 2026 - I will begin my 6th year of retirement and I'll still be serving with the great people of Trinity Church! I am so blessed. This will be my 51st year of ministry.
I wanted to share some thoughts this morning. Part of our vision is to Bring - Build - and Send - to bring people into environments where they can encounter Christ - to build them up in the faith - and to send them out to serve. I wanted to share a few opportunities to bring folks into environments where they can encounter Jesus.
On June 6th - a church I formerly served - Mt. Zion Church of Lothian - will host a community revival. They are calling it Rekindle the Fire. They are hosting this time of praise and worship from 2-5 pm on the Field of Grace (at the corner of Rt. 2 and Rt. 408) in Lothian - MD. I'm planning to attend. June 14th - at 10:30 am - we will worship God together and celebrate Flag Day at Trinity. We are Christians first and foremost - but - we are also proud to be Americans and live in this country. Invite someone to join us - bring them in.
June 21st is Father's Day. We will not only celebrate our fathers but will hear a message from a man of God from my past - Brother John Hines - at our 10:30 am service. John is a long time friend and he and I have been through some years of ministry and service for God together. You won't want to miss his challenging words. Invite someone to join us - bring them in.
June 25th is our next Community Meal at 6 pm. Once a month we hold a community meal for our church family - our community - and friends. There is always good food and good fellowship. There is no cost - a free will offering is taken to help cover the meal. Invite someone to join us - bring them in.
July 5th at 10:30 am we will host Unclouded Day - a Gospel Bluegrass group - as they bring us into God's presence through music and testimony. We will also celebrate the 4th of July - the birth of our nation - on this day. This would be a great time to invite someone to join us at Trinity. Bring them in.
These are just a few special opportunities to bring people into environments where they can encounter Jesus! Every Sunday - every Bible Study - every small group - every time we gather is a great time to bring people into environments where they can encounter Christ!
See you soon! Now I'm going to go make some breakfast - head off to the gym - and later to the office. Bible Study today at 11 am. This would be a great time to begin attending the study - we begin today with 2 Timothy 1:1.
