Dear Mariners’ family,
During this unique time of COVID-19, we have been following our published Re-Gathering Plan. For many months, we have been in Phase 2 of our plan, following and maintaining certain practices and mandates as deemed by the state and county. As a result of the lifting of several state and federal mandates, we are excited to move into Phase 3 of our Re-Gathering Plan. The short version is that we will no longer be requiring masks, social distancing, or capacity limits at any of our services. For the time being, the chairs in the sanctuary will remain in their present configuration to allow for space for those who personally want to maintain social distancing.
We want to make sure and show love and grace to all who come through our doors. While we recognize that some will be excited to not be wearing their masks and distancing, others will still choose to wear a mask and maintain a level of caution. Whether or not you decide to wear your mask, all will be welcomed with warm smiles and love. If someone is wearing a mask, we can show love and grace by giving them their physical distance, but love with our words and waves. There might be some not wearing masks who aren’t yet ready for a hug or handshake. Please feel free to simply say, “Not Yet” and no one will take it personally, but again, will show love and grace. And for those with the levels of caution just mentioned, please be ready to extend grace to those who are not in that same space of caution. It’s likely that we are each in a different comfort level right now. What is important to remember is that we are all on the same team and we that we extend God’s love and grace to others.
We’ll see you tomorrow!
