We've been going through the Book of Exodus for our CoPro Class (College to Professionals) at church, and I've been getting ready for the next chapter, which is Exodus 12 (The Passover instructions). Holy smokes man. There is so much gospel and theology in this one chapter, it's unreal! I think I need another few days to wade through it all! God is amazing! That's all.

Hello Mariners’ CoPro Group! Just wanted to shoot a quick reminder that we have CoPro Class tomorrow morning at 9am in the Gathering Room (the room in the back corner of the sanctuary)! We will be resuming with our series through the Book of Exodus with chapter 2, The Preparation of Moses. A key phrase you’ll see tomorrow is “God saw and God knew.” Leading into tomorrow, let me ask you this: what is it in your life right now that you need God to see? What do you need God to know? Let’s explore that tomorrow! See you there!

p.s. I’ll try to snag son donuts!

Hello Mariners' Family!

An opportunity came up to serve our community!

The group that is serving at My Brother's Pantry this month is running short on volunteers and has reached out for some help. My Brother's Pantry is located at College Parkway Baptist Church (301 College Parkway, Arnold, MD 21012). My Brother's Pantry provides food for those in need on the Broadneck Peninsula.

There are several areas to serve when there.
- Greeting people as they come in.
- Checking them in and giving them the paperwork and instructions they need.
- Being a runner to and from their car and the pantry.
- Being a picker/shopper inside the pantry.

The times that they need some help are this:

Thursday, October 21 : 3pm-6pm (3 to 4 people)

Friday, October 22 : 3pm-6pm (3 to 4 people)

Saturday, October 23 : 8am-11am (3 to 4 people)

If this is something you would be interested in, please contact Jeff Toeneboehn by cell or email.

Dear Mariners’ family,

During this unique time of COVID-19, we have been following our published Re-Gathering Plan. For many months, we have been in Phase 2 of our plan, following and maintaining certain practices and mandates as deemed by the state and county. As a result of the lifting of several state and federal mandates, we are excited to move into Phase 3 of our Re-Gathering Plan. The short version is that we will no longer be requiring masks, social distancing, or capacity limits at any of our services. For the time being, the chairs in the sanctuary will remain in their present configuration to allow for space for those who personally want to maintain social distancing.

We want to make sure and show love and grace to all who come through our doors. While we recognize that some will be excited to not be wearing their masks and distancing, others will still choose to wear a mask and maintain a level of caution. Whether or not you decide to wear your mask, all will be welcomed with warm smiles and love. If someone is wearing a mask, we can show love and grace by giving them their physical distance, but love with our words and waves. There might be some not wearing masks who aren’t yet ready for a hug or handshake. Please feel free to simply say, “Not Yet” and no one will take it personally, but again, will show love and grace. And for those with the levels of caution just mentioned, please be ready to extend grace to those who are not in that same space of caution. It’s likely that we are each in a different comfort level right now. What is important to remember is that we are all on the same team and we that we extend God’s love and grace to others.

We’ll see you tomorrow!

Hello Mariners' fam! 2020 has been, well, you know. So, you guessed it. We're ready for Christmas! We love how the church building transforms during the Christmas season, but it doesn't get there with a snap of a finger like in Mary Poppins, it takes a team.

For those who are able, we want to invite you to come and help us transform our building for the Christmas season this coming Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30pm. It's sure to be a great time of fellowship as we work together! You can comment below to let us know you might be coming!
