This week, you are invited to pray for the Synod presidential election, especially for the electors, who are preparing for the second round of voting.

In place of a collect, consider praying and meditating on the following verses:

The Lord is the strength of his people;
he is the saving refuge of his anointed.
Oh, save your people and bless your heritage!
Be their shepherd and carry them forever. (Psalm 28:8–9)

Then & Now. ⛪

For 148 years, Bethlehem has stood as a place where God’s Word has been preached, His Sacraments administered, and generations of families have gathered in faith.

Within these walls, countless memories have been made from Baptisms and Confirmations, weddings and funerals, Christmas and Easter celebrations, Sunday school lessons, fellowship gatherings, quiet moments of prayer, and there was even a time where we had our very own baseball team.

Each generation has added its own chapter to the story of this congregation, making Bethlehem a rich and historic piece of family history for many generations.

As we look back with thanksgiving and ahead with anticipation for future generations to come, we’re reminded that while much has changed over the years, God’s faithfulness remains the same.

We’d love to hear from you!

What is your favorite Bethlehem memory?

Membership Monday 🤍

There is something so beautiful about hearing God’s Word spoken through the faith of a child.

At Bethlehem, we pray our children grow rooted in Christ, knowing His promises, His love, and His truth for every season of life. Church membership is more than attending, it is belonging to the family of God and being nurtured by His Word and Sacraments together.

Come worship with us at Bethlehem this Sunday. ✨

Today we celebrated a special milestone in the lives of our Confirmands as they publicly confessed the faith into which they were baptized.

Confirmation is not graduation from the faith, but a continued life rooted in Christ, His Word, and His gifts. We rejoice that these young Christians have been instructed in the truth of God’s Word.

As a church family, we pray that the Lord would continue to strengthen these ladies through His Word and Sacraments all the days of their lives.

📖“Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” — Revelation 2:10

On behalf of all your brothers & sisters in Christ at Bethlehem, Congratulations Kaitlyn & Hailey! Today we rejoice with you and pray God’s richest blessings over your walk of faith. ✝️

🎺 Alleluia! Christ Ascends in Triumph 🎺

Today the Church rejoices in the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The same Jesus who was crucified and raised now reigns in glory. He ascended bodily into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father, ruling all things for His Church.

This is not a farewell, it is a promise. Christ reigns even now, and He will return in glory.

📖God has gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet. — Psalm 47:5

Alleluia! The risen Christ reigns forever.

✨ASCENSION REFLECTION✨
Christ still Reigns

Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father, the place of divine authority and power. From there He intercedes for His people, governs His Church, and sends His Gospel into all the world.

The ascension is not the end of Easter joy. It is the continuation of Christ’s victory for all sinners.

📖But He said to them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God… for I was sent for this purpose.” — Luke 4:43

Christ is risen. Christ reigns. Christ will come again.

🗓️ See you tomorrow at Bethlehem’s service at 7pm to celebrate the Ascension of our Lord.

✨ASCENSION REFLECTION✨
“Why Did Jesus Ascend?”

Forty days after His resurrection, Christ ascended into heaven, not to abandon His Church, but to reign over it. Our risen Lord rules all things for the good of His people and continues to come to us through His Word and Sacraments.

As Lutherans, we confess that Jesus’ ascension means He is not absent from us. He promises: “I am with you always.” Through His Means of Grace, He remains with His Church until He comes again in glory.

📖“Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus… will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven.” — Acts 1:11

Come worship the risen and reigning Christ with us this Easter season!
