The Ann Arbor Ladies Philoptochos Society supports the following local organizations:

-C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, Arbor Hospice, Warm the Children, Wild Swan Theatre, Special Days Camp, Santa's Cupboard, Quality of Life Back to School, Safe House, Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti Public Libraries, the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity. At the Metropolis Level, our Ladies Philoptochos Society suppo

rts the Metropolis Scholarship Fund, the Metropolis of Detroit Rose City Summer Camp Fund, the Emergency Fund and others. The Ladies Philoptochos Society also supports national projects which in part include: International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), UNICEF, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Support a Mission Priest, Holy Cross Seminary, St. Basil's Academy, and the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

The Fisher House “Meal Train” continues with the support of Nicholas Ann Arbor’s “Good Samaritan” Chapter for the second consecutive month.

Recently, Vicky Masters and Liz Mitropoulos delivered meals for 20 families and were impressed with the layout and cleanliness of the facility. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and thankful for all we are doing for them. This month’s menu included Pastitsio, Salad, Pumpkin Pie, Baklava, and Fresh Fruit.

The chapter supports Fisher House of Ann Arbor throughout the year with various projects as one of the chapter’s community outreach projects. Fisher House is a home-away-from home for the families of veterans and military personnel while their loved one is receiving treatment and where the families can stay at no cost.
