Eric Butterworth in his book Spiritual Economics says, "thanksgiving is not an emotional reaction, but an energy which connects us to all things good". He says, it's a connective energy for our well-being or prosperity and a magnet for our greatest good. In the bible, (1 Thessalonians 5:18) we read, "In all things give thanks". Ask yourself, Am I grateful in all things or for all things? Are you living in an attitude or energy of gratitude or simply thankful for the things you receive?

In our new series based on the book Spiritual Economics, Writer and Minister Eric Butterworth says, "Your fortune and personal welfare begins with you; it is shaped by your consciousness. By your thinking you are either adding to your life or taking away from It. Are you dealing in pluses or minuses?"

Putting God First

"But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteous; and all these things shall be added unto you".

Dear Friend,

"Someone once said, "If you aren't as close to God as you once were, don't make the mistake about which one of you has moved."

God is forever giving to us with no thought of return. God is love…and love always thinks of giving, never of receiving. And the more we put God first in our lives, the more we will receive and the higher we will rise in recognition of the Divine within us.

God is--first, last, and always. The more we can learn to live daily, moment by moment putting Him first; the freer we are of fear, challenges and pain and the less need we have for miracles. For God will supply us with whatever we might need. In meeting any challenge, the first thing we need, often the only thing we need, is to turn from the problem to God. God will supply the answers. God will supply the path we should take. God will supply the inspiration we will need.

Putting God first in our lives is the only way of growing and of overcoming. (Philippians 2:5) "Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus." We don't have to exert some inhuman effort to draw this Mind into us, but we simply let it be in us. Our part is to consciously take the attitude of receiving. We need to remember to first enter the "inner chamber" of our own soul, and to shut the door on all thought but that of the Divine Presence. When we forget to do this our lives can become unhappy and inharmonious and spin out of control; and our relationships can take on an unhealthy appearance. However, when we surrender our thoughts to God and His Love our lives take on a new and wonderful vigor. We find all things working together for our absolute good; and everything feels right in the world.

"The Lord is merciful and gracious; slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our mistakes."

Join us this Sunday as Rev. Parker gives an inspirational message of love, peace, prosperity and health through his lesson titled, "Putting God First". Come and enjoy being uplifted by our soulful music ministry featuring Charles and Gwen Scales. Affirm with us, "I am a child or manifestation of God, and every moment His life, love, wisdom, and power flow into and through me." When we allow God into our lives the right and perfect things happen when and where they should. We can just live and be aware of how God is working in our lives. "Remember, "wherever we are God Is"…

Our Sunday service will be held at 10:30am at:

Washtenaw Community College
Morris Lawrence Bldg. #150
4800 E. Huron River Dr.

PRAYER OF FORGIVENESS

“O God of love and forgiveness, love and forgive in me.

All that has offended me I forgive.
Whatever has made me bitter, unhappy or restless, I forgive. From henceforth, I shall remember that Thy spirit animating me and all others is perfect, holy, and that Thy presence makes this planet heaven.

I forgive everything that I have remembered as offense, I forgive everything by which, I may have been offended.
If there be in the depths of my subconscious that which holds itself as offense, I forgive: I let it go, and I can no more be offended by it.

I forgive, that Thy love may cleanse my soul; that Thy life may flow through my flesh and make me again to be the undisguised image and likeness.

I forgive my ignorance of the past, and from this moment I hold Thy mind to be my mind, that the light eternal may make bright the paths of my soul.

Within and without, things past, things present, and things to come, I forgive, I forgive, I forgive.”
