Interfaith Round Table

Interfaith Round Table Building Bridges of Understanding and Friendship Several key principles describe our style:

(1) We are a dialogue group not a political action group.

Mission: To cultivate a culture of awareness and compassion while building meaningful relationships among people of diverse religious and spiritual backgrounds and journeys. Vision: Through education, dialogue, and shared spiritual practices, Interfaith Round Table cultivates an inclusive culture to advance understanding of and appreciation for the diversity of our neighbors. We encourage individu

als and congregations to advocate for causes, issues and conditions that are significant to them. (2) When we come together for dialogue, we put aside any attempt to evangelize, missionize or proselytize. (3) At the same time, when we around the table together, we do our best to be true to our own religious identity, whether Buddhist, Muslim, Catholic, Hindu, etc. We often agree to disagree, but do so with respect and hopefully a deeper understanding of different perspectives and belief systems. (4) When we are in dialogue with each other, we try to use language that includes other religious perspectives. For example, instead of speaking of “churches,” we would refer more often to “churches, synagogues, temples and mosques.”

(5) In our public gatherings, our desire is not to hold public worship services but instead sacred gatherings where any and all religious perspectives present are honored. Our hope is to be able to move beyond just tolerance of other religious and spiritual perspectives to a place where we desire to know how other people view the world and where we genuinely value what others contribute to our lives.

What a year it’s been! ✨
From Day Forums on Zoom to ice cream conversations at County Farm Park, from learning Rosh Hashanah recipes at our first Interfaith Foodies event to walking together at the CROP Walk—2025 has been a year of coming together.
Thanks to supporters like you, we’ve gathered people across faith traditions to build relationships, learn from one another, and serve our community.
As we look toward 2026, we invite you to help us continue this vital work. Your year-end gift makes it possible for us to keep bringing our community together for meaningful dialogue and connection.

Many faith traditions teach us to care for creation, to use the earth's natural resources judiciously, to think of the generations who follow us and will need those resources to survive. We encourage you to learn more at this interfaith teach-in and find out how to take action.
