Hi Impact! What a year! We’ve enjoyed every moment of laughter, delicious dinners, celebrations, and walking through life and the Word together this year. It’s been a blessing seeing you all grow in faith as you continue your education. We pray that you continue to strive for God amidst the pressure of the world and grow to know Him more every day. Go be the light in your classrooms, labs, and communities!

Jeremiah 29:13
“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”

SMrF. Seek Me (and) Find (it’s close enough ok...). This year, our Life Group set out to be SMrFs: a tight knit community united in seeking God with ALL our hearts and finding Him, but just like smurfs, with each person playing their own unique role (ex. Papa Smurf iykyk).

We lived this out through fellowship over food (+ maybe pizza eating competitions too), nature walks in God’s creation, playing “foot lettuce”’s favorite game super smash, long nights studying, and most importantly heartful prayers, worship (thank u Sarah + Karen), and reading and living by the Word of God!

What a blessing to be able to come together as family in Christ this year. Thank you God for all the awesome work that you did! You were faithful that when we sought with all our hearts, we found you! SMrF, you will be missed ♥️. Keep seeking no matter where God takes you next!

Dear fin,

We praise God for all the ways He has transformed our lives this past year! We started off the year with the vision of living out our lives like Apostle Paul who in Acts 20:24 said, “But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” And God definitely took us on a journey of going deeper in believing in the gospel for ourselves so that we can testify to it.

It wasn’t easy for us to face some of the doubts and idols that came to the surface; but God gave us the courage, humility, and faith to surrender to His process of refining our faith and obeying His call to testify even in our weaknesses.

We celebrated baptisms, boldly invited our friends into our community, and sought the Lord in helping us to love our neighbors and family as He does. We spent late nights ministering to each other, as well as having fun just yapping away. While we’re a bit chaotic and unhinged at times, we’ve been encouraged to see the ways God has really taken us deeper and wider this past season.

Our hope and prayer is that we continue to run this race with our eyes fixed on the reward we have in Christ, surrendered to a life of testifying to the gospel until the very end!

Love,
Patty, Joy & Tiff

“We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin.”
Romans 6:6-7

Our life group’s vision was to recognize and live in the full assurance of the freedom we have in Jesus - a freedom that is not bound to the broken standards of the world or to our own sin, but one that allows us to find purpose, hope, and joy in Jesus our Savior.

In light of what Jesus has done for us, we sought to keep our eyes on Jesus and reflect His heart as a spiritual family. This looked like studying the Word together, praying for one another, sharing meals, inviting friends into community, and serving at the St. Andrews breakfast program.

And through it all, we have seen God faithfully renew and transform hearts. We saw Him at work through convictions to be baptized, to stay rooted in the Word, to center life and career on Him, and to continue serving others even beyond this year of life group.

Praise God for His gracious pursuit of us this year and for allowing us to understand and experience more of His heart within community!

“And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” - Joshua 24:15

Remnant is defined as a small minority of people who will remain faithful to God and so be saved. This is our hope for our members, that we would continue to be this faithful remnant wherever we go. Lord, we ask that you watch over our members and keep them near to you through whatever ups and downs life may bring. We will miss you all! ♥️

Our vision for life group this year was rooted in Acts 2:42-47: to grow deeper in Christ and live out the selfless, devoted example of the early church.

The journey wasn’t always easy, but in every ups and downs, we witnessed the beauty of the body of Christ. From carrying one another through seasons of struggle to celebrating personal spiritual breakthroughs, the Lord has been our constant guide. We are so grateful for this brotherhood and sisterhood. All glory to God!

Our life group this year wanted our lives to reflect a hope in Jesus that does not spoil, perish, or fade. Looking back on this year, it was such a blessing to walk with each other. We grew hope through struggles & loss but still looking to God in worship. We grew our hope in praise and celebration of Jesus and not solely in the blessings received. We are so thankful to God for this year where we lived in hope with each other. And we pray that we continue to live in the steadfast hope of Jesus onward.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. - 1 Peter 1:3-6 (NIV)

Romans 1:16-17 - “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.””

This year, our vision was to weave the gospel into every part of our lives - to have every part of our hearts and lives be transformed by the gospel, and to be gospel witnesses to the world around us. Through all the ups and downs, all the challenges and celebrations, God has been so present and faithful to us, reminding us of who He is and why He is so worthy of our praise and worship. We ate, we laughed, we played board games, and we had the privilege of witnessing two members get baptized, sending out members on missions, and learning to serve each other and the church. It’s been a privilege watching people grow closer to God and realizing how His gospel is truly interwoven into every part of our lives.

From Abby and Justin, we wish we had more time with you guys 😭😭😭it feels like we had so much more to teach you all. But alas, the year is over, and we must let you all go into the next seasons of your lives. It’s been an honor to serve as your leaders, and we hope that you all know that the transformative gospel work that God is doing in each of you is not done yet - continue to seek Him and be transformed by Him, and continue to seek biblical fellowship in your next season with other brothers and sisters in Christ, pushing each other to go deeper in the gospel and gaining a deeper understanding of who He is and how much He loves each and every one of you. And may the world see His light shine through all of you! 🫡🫡🫡
