Did you know that Bethlehem Cemetery is one of the oldest and largest cemeteries in Washtenaw County. Bethlehem Cemetery has over 9,000 burials, of whom over 600 are veterans

The first acre of land was deeded to Bethlehem Church by Daniel Allmendinger and the first burial took place in 1834. The church and the cemetery occupied the same land until the church moved to downtown Ann Arbor. With additional land donations, the cemetery was able to expand to approximately 8800 burials.

In 1835, the congregation approved burials for non-church members. Since then, a volunteer board elected by the congregation oversees the operation of the cemetery. We have ties to many Christian and non-Christian organizations.

"Who do you say that I am?"

This Sunday at Bethlehem UCC, we'll reflect on Jesus' question in Matthew 16:13-20 through the sermon "Speak For Yourself." We'll explore how faith moves from what we have heard about Jesus into a relationship we live for ourselves.

We will also gather around Christ's open table. Come as you are, there is a place for you here.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our School Supply Drive!!

Because of your YES and generosity, students in our community will begin the school year with the supplies they need with a reminder that their neighbors are cheering them on.

We are deeply grateful for the many hands and generous hearts that came together to support our students. This is what loving our neighbors looks like. Thank you, Bethlehem!
