Ann Arbor Karma Thegsum Choling Ann Arbor KTC was founded in 1978 by Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. We practice meditation together, and tr All regular events are free-of-charge.

Ann Arbor KTC regularly hosts Tibetan Buddhist masters who offer traditional teachings and the Refuge Vow for those who wish to formally adopt the Buddhist path. The regular practices at the Ann Arbor KTC include Medicine Buddha, Green Tara, Chenrezig and Amitabha. Medicine Buddha, Green Tara, Chenrezig and Amitabha practices are open to the general public.

Happy Saga Dawa Düchen!

“Commit no wrongdoing, completely tame your mind, perfect your morality: this is the teaching of the Buddhas.”

We gathered today on this most sacred holiday that commemorates the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana (death) to pray, to make offerings, to bathe and welcome the infant Siddhartha, and to dedicate the sum of all our good deeds to the enlightenment and liberation of all beings. We also enjoyed a potluck lunch generously offered by friends and members of the center.

Thank you to all our members who joined in person and online this morning, and to Khenpo Tshering Chophel of Karuna Buddhist Center and Master Zhong Hai of Triple Crane Retreat Center in Chelsea who joined us and led the ceremony today.

Happy Losar from Ann Arbor KTC! We're having a wonderful week so far - movie night with Geshe-la on Sunday, Mahakala tsok to clear obstacles on Monday, and a momo making party last night.

Please join us tonight at Ann Arbor KTC for momo leftovers at 6pm, and then our usual Wednesday evening programming - meditation at 7pm, then our visiting guest Geshe Tenzin Zopa will do a Q&A at 7:30pm. Please join us in person or on zoom!
