Good afternoon everyone. As you have heard, we will not be meeting in the building tomorrow. There is no power at the church and we are not certain when it will be restored. DTE estimates tomorrow some time. We will still worship together, but all of us will be on Zoom.

Please have your communion emblems prepared ahead of time since we will be partaking of this sacrament together.

Seventy John Jones will bring us our morning message. Below you can find the revised bulletin. I had to change one hymn since we will not be accompanied by Chip's wonderful organ music.

God of Possibility,

Open our hearts like Abraham and Sarah opened their home. Help us welcome you in the stranger, in the unexpected moment, and in the promise that feels too good to believe.

When we laugh because hope seems impossible, remind us that your love is still at work. Grow our faith beyond fear, beyond doubt, and beyond what we can see today.

Teach us to trust that new life can come in surprising ways, and that your promises are not limited by our age, our past, or our circumstances.

May we live with open hands, open hearts, and renewed hope, believing that with you, possibility is still growing.

Amen.

God of promise,
help us grow in faith like Abraham—
trusting You even when the road is unclear.

When hope feels weak, strengthen us.
When doubt rises, remind us that Your promises still stand.
Teach us to believe not only with our words,
but with our lives.

May our faith grow deeper,
our hope grow stronger,
and our witness grow brighter
as we trust in the One who brings life, grace, and new beginnings.

Amen.

Help us amplify our witness through kindness, peace, and compassion. May we share Christ’s love in our words and actions, trusting Jesus’ promise: “I am with you always.”

Gracious God,

On this Memorial Day weekend, we remember those who gave their lives in service, and we pray for their families.

As your Spirit was poured out at Pentecost, pour your Spirit on us today. Help us be a people of peace, courage, and witness. May we follow Jesus Christ, our Lord and Messiah, and share his hope with the world.

Amen.
