Here’s a look into what’s to come for OLIH Youth Ministry this summer!

Please note: a few of these events require a ticket or an RSVP if you’d like to attend. Those events are: Mom/Daughter pilgrimage to Our Lady of Champion (June 15-17), volunteering with Agape Gardens (June 29), Cosmic Baseball (July 17, ticket sales have passed but there may be an extra available), Iowa Barnstormers (July 24, tickets are on sale now!), Fishing Trip (details to come!)

All mom’s (and grandma’s) with daughters who are rising 8th to recently graduated 12th graders are invited to join us on a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Champion in Green Bay, Wisconsin, June 15-17, 2026!

We will be sharing in the love of Mary as we visit a Trappist Monastery, a Schoenstatt Shrine, and Our Lady of Champion (which is the ONLY approved Marian apparition in the United States). We’ll also visit the National Shrine of St. Joseph!

The cost is $150 and that covers transportation, lodging, and snacks.

This trip to open to those outside our parish, so invite your friends (but space is limited!)

Yesterday was a big day for OLIH Youth Ministry!

We started the day with a blessing for our graduating seniors, then celebrated their accomplishments at breakfast and gave out well deserved scholarships.

We had a short break before we welcomed kiddos in grades 6-12 to join us for Mario Kart Live! This was a ton of fun and the effort put in by our CORE leaders was evident.

Special thanks to all the volunteers who made yesterday possible!

Join us tomorrow (Sunday) for tons of laughs, food, and fun as we host Mario Kart Live!!

Grades 6-12: It's the silliest, most amazing night! Sunday, May 17 is Mario Kart LIVE! 5:30-8:00pm.

We'll race in teams on an indoor/outdoor track around the gym and parking lot. Friends are welcome and dinner will be served.

Looking for some family friendly fun this summer? We’ve got a ton of great events coming up and this one comes in 2 parts!

If you’re looking for something sweet 🍦 & sporty 🏈, we’ve got the opportunity for you!

On Wednesday, July 15, from 5-6:30pm we will have an Ice Cream Social with some of the players from the Iowa Barnstormers in the Banquet Hall at OLIH.

Then you can see them in action on Friday, July 24, with kickoff at 7:05pm! We have an OLIH section and tickets are 20.17/person (taxes & fees included). Tickets will be on sale until earlyJuly. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors! It’s also fan appreciation night, so be on the lookout for possible giveaways 👀

Come join us and help with VBS in the mornings and spend (most*) afternoons/evenings with us for Youth Ministry Week!

*The only exception are Monday, June 8- we will have breakfast and we end on Thursday, June 11 with a picnic on Saylorville Lake

CORE Retreat 2026!

The best young Catholic leaders from the best Catholic Church in the whole world ♥️ (a totally unbiased opinion from a very appreciative youth minister😜)

I’m so proud of these teens. They have spent a ton of time making sure I (McKenna) have felt welcomed and supported me while I’ve been learning the ropes. I cannot wait to see what the future hold for them and for OLIH Youth Ministry.
