This spring, we had the privilege of commissioning the Ludema family as they prepare to serve in Lisbon, Portugal.
Long before they knew they would be missionaries in Portugal, God was preparing them. Nick spent 20 years in the military developing leadership skills, a heart for serving others, and experience working with people from different cultures. His work with The Family Leader further strengthened his understanding of ministry and building relationships that point people to Christ. God also used Elaina’s years of planting roots in communities, building friendships, and serving wherever He moved their family. Together, they have faithfully served in local churches through teaching, college ministry, discipleship, and caring for people wherever God has placed them.
In Lisbon, they will serve by managing the Lisbon Training Center, a ministry facility that helps equip church leaders, strengthen local ministries, and create opportunities for churches to work together for the sake of the gospel. Their desire is simple but powerful: to help make disciples who make disciples, strengthen churches, love people well, and cultivate lasting, everyday faith in Christ.
As they step into this new season, we invite our church family to continue supporting them through prayer, encouragement, and giving. We are grateful to be part of what God is doing in Portugal and excited to see how He will work through the Ludema family.
