ON A MISSION will be tomorrow morning’s sermon. The Scripture will be taken from John 20:21. This is the second sermon in the series on our Church mission statement. Morning Worship begins at 11:00 am at Anguilla Methodist Church. The focus will be on “We are actively involved in outreach.” I interpret that to mean MISSION.
I’ll begin with a couple of objections to mission I’ve heard during my ministry. What does the word “mission” mean to you? I’ll share with you what the word means to me. Next, without mentioning the Blues Brothers, I’ll share why their theology is correct! I’ll share a few BIG things God is doing in our Annual Conference. Mission is not limited to foreign mission, your mission may be your next door neighbor. I’ll talk about missions Anguilla Methodist Church does well. I’ll mention 3 other “local” mission projects we should join God in accomplishing. This should be (and is) a mission minded church! This church is on a mission! What’s God asking of you?
