Beverly was such a sweet women and such a big part of our congregation. She is now with Jesus and is at peace. ❤️ Continue to pray for the family and congregation during this time.

Beverly J. (Benninghoff) Tilbury, 88, of Angola, Indiana died Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Northern Lakes Nursing Home in Angola.

She was born October 10, 1937, in Angola to Clyde and Velma (Dilts) Benninghoff.

On July 9, 1955, in Salem Center she married Donald W. Tilbury. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2010.

Before her retirement, Beverly worked at New Horizons in Fremont, INDOT, and Indiana Marine Products. She also worked alongside her husband in the construction business for more than 40 years, helping build and remodel homes. Together, they played a role in the development of Lake Diane and Merry Lake in Michigan before building their own dream home on her maternal homestead.

In the 1950s, Beverly shared her love of music by singing on WLKI radio. She also enjoyed fishing, painting, and sewing, hobbies that reflected her creativity and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. Beverly was a faithful member of Flint United Methodist Church in Flint and the Orland VFW Auxiliary.

Surviving are two daughters, Tena (Danny) Dossett of Angola and Ina L. (Richard) Crist of Bryan, Ohio; a son-in-law, Don Walter of Angola; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 27 great great-grandchildren with a few on the way.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ronda Walter on October 10, 2023; a sister, Ruth Myers; and three brothers, Robert Benninghoff, Blaine Benninghoff, and Kenton Benninghoff.

Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson.

Funeral services will also be on Friday, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor J.L. Horton of Flint United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will follow at Flint Cemetery.

Honorary casketbearer is Jason Schlosser. Active casketbearers are Joel Leslie, Colton Rowlison, Chase Rowlison, Brantley Shaneyfelt, and Samuel Bolen. Special mention to Gina Leslie Harper, Eve Harper, Melissa Rowlison, and April Schlosser.

This Sunday April 26, 2026 is our April Carry-In Luncheon. We are doing Breakfast theme! We will have Fruit, Ham, Sausage Patties, Scrambled eggs, Biscuits & Gravy, Donuts, Bacon, Hash Brown casserole and more!
